View Full Version : 4th Quarters are a little different under Kubiak than the previous regime

We've evolved from the Capes/Casserly/Carr era. Back then the 4th quarter of each game was garbage time to let DC pad his stats and give fans hope he'll improve. Nowadays the 4th quarter of each season is garbage time to give our stars ample opportunities to pad their stats and give the Kool-Aid drinkers hope for next year. We probably wont make the playoffs barring a miracle both on our part and the handful of teams ahead of us in the race, so lets give our best players the opportunity to make the pro bowl by padding those stats.

Schaub: Go take that passing yardage lead from Peyton and make your td-int ratio a little bit better.

AJ: Widen the gap between you and every other WR in the league.

Mario: You better match last year's sack total!!! Some extra FFs wouldn't hurt either!!!

DeMeco: Time to catch up with Cushing!!!

Cushing: Make a statement to show you're an all pro LB, not just DROY.

Pollard: Show Rick Smith he needs to pay you because of your performance on the field, not by writing it on your cleats.

Dunta: LOL...you don't deserve to be on this list!!!

Actually both Johnson and Schaub's stats drop off considerably in the 4th according to NFL.com situational stats.

They did pretty well yesterday at the beginning of their 4th quarter.

are you serious, Andre only caught 1 pass for 9 yards in the second half

also, i think Schaub only completed like 5 passes in the 2nd half

5-11. Not pretty, but seeing as we had a huge lead, we should not have been passing in the second half too much.

I think he means the beginning of the 4th quarter of the season which started yesterday. Weeks 14-17 equals 4th quarter of the season.

Schaub and AJ had a good week 14 overall but not so much a great 4th qtr of that particular game.

If that makes any sense
