With all the negativity around here (rightfully so) I thought it'd be best to atleast say something good... one thing... have fun (-:

- Connor Barwin's sack of Peyton was great to see, he beat the tackle around the edge used leverage and took the shortest path to Peyton... had Peyton not fallen down Barwin was gonna lay the wood on him

It has been mentioned in another thread... but really good to see Slaton bounce back with a nice game. I still believe he will be our answer at RB. He's just too talented to give up on.

Usually I would be praising the D but the 2nd half D didn't play well at all. What do the Texans do in the locker room at half time?? Does the coach just say "hey guys let's just throw away everything that worked!". This is the second time it happened to us. We were 21-0 vs 49ers and we barely came out 24-21. Today we were 17-7 vs colts and this time we wern't so lucky.

This team can usually play one really good half of football. One or the other. Either way, the other one is usually even better for the other team.

I don't think the volume on my TV automatically went up during the commercials and we didn't wear the ketchup bottle uniforms and our D got 2 picks on Manning, oh, and I saw Antonio slap him in the face and Mario throw him to the ground. I think that was at band camp...

the hit Dunta made was worthless. the guy made the catch and while everyone was in 'awe' of Dunta's 'play' Peyton snapped the ball for a near 40 yard gain to Collie.

here is my 'one positive thing'

we are one game closer to having Gary Kubiak in the unemployment line...where he belongs

DerekLee1
11-30-2009, 09:04 AM
Yeah it was on addai. Great hit.

Followed by Manning quickly calling his team back to the line and hitting Collie for a 31-yard reception because our defense was over-celebrating and didn't get back to the line. Oh, wait. This is a positive thread. Um...17-0 was positive. If only this was an 18-minute game instead of 60...

I gave my tickets to my buddy next to me as he wanted to bring some friends. Consequently, Sunday morning I went fly fishing and was the only one that caught a fish (12" Bass). Everything that happened after that did not matter. One fish > than my normal Texans Fail experience.

I will continue to watch and retain my seats, but until this team starts winning I will only be using my tickets for business purposes and to make my money back on the tickets.

Before Kubiak I just wanted to be competitive. Kubiak has made us competitive, but I can find entertainment in other places that do not end in a rush of disappointment.

Unless, of course, you are the Texans. We're an awesome average team that might make the playoffs in about 10 years at the rate we're improving.

A winning season after a season of suck is overrated. We need to build until we have a 1st round draft pick at every position, including long snapper and holder.

One positive thing.... hmmm.

Ok, yesterday I spilled some chili from my nachos down the front of my #8 jersey It's not a "SCHAUB" jersey yet because it used to be a "CARR" jersey. I was going to put Matt's name on it but decided to wait until he actually played in 16 games to do so but I digress.

Anyway, I spilled this big blob of chili on me and it went all down the white #8 on the front. I got as much of it off as I could and I just knew it was going to stain BUT then the Texans sucked so bad in the third and fourth quarter that I left early which I never do and so I got to my car quickly and got home fast and was able to avoid letting the stain set in. Today my no-name #8 jersey looks just fine thanks to the miserable Houston Texans offense.

That's my silver lining from yesterday.

I'm positive that the Texans could have more wins than they do now this season.

I'm positive it could be worse.

I'm positive I enjoyed the tailgate more than the game itself for the last two games.

The Jacksonville game was Cushing's worst as a Texan.. of course he set the bar so high for himself... I wouldn't call it a rookie wall as much as just being disected on film more.. he could be tiring after all hes played more games this year than last year at SC and we still have 4 left. I expect he'll finish the year on a high note.
