First because of Bud Adams and the mess he created here . Second because of the VY is great faction which has three locations . They are here , Austin , and sometimes Nashville .

Can you imagine Tampa getting the first pick and taking Suh and the Gator fans changing their alliances to Seattle the way the Madison fans and some UT fans did ... good grief . For the record Tebow has had a much better college career than VY .

I hate the Inbreds of Uranus because they think (or at least their ********* owner does) they're still relevant in this town, plus they're divison rivals and because of the ***** VY jock sniffers who worship his every move and ruin my sports radio every time his sausageness plays the Texans, and their owner is a piece of crap.

That's one sentence right?

Because we're in the same division.

The Browns can't even begin to have the same feelings we have. They got to keep their team identity (jerseys, players' history, team colors, name, etc.)

I guess this is how Baltimore Colts fans felt when the Colts went to Indianapolis. But original Colts fans had Super Bowl history on their side. We didn't. So...we can at least be glad that we're rid of a post-season failure-of-a-team.

Man you guys are pathetic, and I'm saying this defending a 3-6 team.

Seriously, these are reasons why you hate the Titans? Yeah, they took your precious team away after 30 years but look at yourselves as fans! You let the organization get away after you wouldn't help Bud build a new stadium. And yeah, taxpayers financed stadiums suck but that was the cost of doing business back in the late 90s. When presented with the opportunity, we seized it. And all you guys were left with was an empty Astrodome. Fast forward a number of years and you have a new team and new place to play, but you could have avoided the whole thing. You and Cleveland fans have only yourselves to blame. :pirate:

As for all the other things, you wish you had players like Finnegan who aren't afraid to get in player's grill and mix it up. Yeah, we're kinda a dirty team. But that's also the kind of team no one wants to play. Advantage, Titans.

The two things I pointed out from your statement are hilarious in how contradictory they are. You guys have beat JAX, SF, and BUF......lol....let that sink in before you bow up too much.

Also, don't play marriage counselor before you have found anything out about the relationship leading up to the break up. Everything you said about why the Oilers left proves all the reasons why you have no idea what you are talking about. Bottom line is that you guys got our sloppy seconds. The taxpayers are still paying bonds on the refurbishing of the Astrodome that voters approved.

That is how Oiler fans responded when Bud threatened to move to Jacksonville.

When Bud came came back asking for a new stadium deal 5 yrs later the voters said enough is enough.

I wouldn't expect you to know this being a Tack fan. With that fifth grade learnin that most Tack fans seem to have.

This is going to take more than 1 sentence. I used to work for a guy who was the Astros and John McMullen's CPA back when he owned the Astros. This guy told me stories about how Bud Adams was to deal with. Now, this guy was the first to admit McMullen wasn't the greatest guy in the world as an owner, but he said Bud was unbelievable in their meetings dealing with the Dome. He said Bud was so smug and such an a-hole because he knew he had a product fans wanted to see and if he didn't get what he wanted he would pack up and leave Houston. He did that for years before it actually happened. Sports teams are personal to their fans; they are not something you dangle in front of people to get what you want. Houston made the Oilers - Bud Adams should have spent his own money to get what he wanted, not hold the city and county hostage with a team we all loved. When the Oilers left, I could not cheer for the Titans, even before we got the Texans. Seeing the Titans wear Oiler uniforms makes me sick. Bum and Earl deserve better. They were Oilers, HOUSTON OILERS, through and through. They were not Titans. Wearing those uniforms is like spitting on the Luv Ya Blue days we all lived for.

Also, I don't like some fans who are so caught up in loving their team and being a homer who refuse to talk sports and go on and on just about their team that they love. i.e. the Cowboys among others who only care about SB rings that's not a true fan IMO.

Oh please, Bud Adams is the LAST GUY we'd ever trust around here. Seriously, if he'd dump you guys after 30 years, he'd surely do the same to us. But we figured on a few things here. First, the guy he was negotiating with was Phil Bredesen, (the then-mayor of Nashville, now the Governor of Tennessee) and Phil was then worth about 100 million in his own right having had a successful career running businesses in the health care industry. Bottom line is that he was negotiating with a peer in business (the previous Nashville mayor was a corrupt SOB who would have gotten played). But we also figured that everyone is mortal and Bud won't be on this earth forever (not to be morbid, but that's reality for all of us). Bud will likely not be on the scene by the time we have to do something major about LP Field.

We in Nashville heard all about the machinations about the public money that went into upgrades to the Astrodome. Frankly, I'm surprised you guys even bothered. Considering the age of the facility, you probably should have negotiated to hold off on upgrades while you did financing for a new place. Maybe there was nostalgia about the Astrodome, i dunno. But the era of the 90s where new stadiums were being grown like Georgia Kudzu should have made you guys see the writing in the wall way earlier. And it's not like we all agreed that public money was a great idea. it went to the voters here and was approved after a pretty contentious debate.

If we were still the same team that played you guys in Week 2, I'd say we'd have our work cut out for us. But the new VY/CJ backfield has great karma and the defense has decided to show up again. Is the team all-world and unbeatable? Hardly. But they have their swagger back and that's a big deal in the NFL, especially when you're on the road.

This will be a great matchup. If you guys win, nobody here will be surprised since the Texans are the best in your (short) franchise history. But if we win, you guys shouldn't be surprised either.

And I went to Yale. We're not all hayseeds here (why am I defending myself to people from texas anyway?)

We're not all hayseeds here (why am I defending myself to people from texas anyway?)

well dont get used to your team anyway.....once LA gets a stadium up Bud wont let that money go to anyone else.... hmmmmm what would they name them after the film industry or plastic surgery field...Fake Titans works either way.

How many dirty, stinking Titans fans does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
3.
1 dirty, stinking Titans fan to screw in the light bulb and 2 dirty, stinking Titans fans to throw feces at each other.

hahahaha...

I'd be worried if we were Jacksonville. I never understood putting an expansion NFL team in a market that already had Tampa and Miami in-state, and Carolina and Atlanta nearby. At least we've sold out all of our games for a decade. None of JAX's games this year will play on TV in JAX at this rate.

The Titans aren't going anywhere. We make money. The Jags on the other hand...

Well hate to break it to you...but Bud made money here. He had a loyal fanbase ...training camp in San Antonio with a huge fanbase there ( weekly Bus trips) and guess what he left for "greener" pastures (still makes no sense to leave nation's 4th largest city for memphis..but whatever)

If LA offers the money...he is gone...bank on it.

I think Bud's too old to go through another move........whoever takes over the team after he's gone though, who knows what will happen???

BTW, who is taking over that team after he's gone? Let's face it, that day is coming pretty soon.

I don't hate the Titans... I don't care for them, but they are like any other team to me...just hope they lose when they play Houston.

I want the Texans to totally dominate this game from start to finish.

Everyone in Reliant stadium needs to give Bud the "salute" as he watches from his box.

And this arseholio telling me to get over my Oilers needs to piss off, we all are full aware what transpired with the Oilers leaving, I can hate whoever I damn well please and the Titans are at the top of my list.
