LMAO. I was telling someone yesterday that if people outside your city know the name of the team owner, it is a sign that you have a bad owner.

First, Jerry picking his nose. Now this. You just helped make a tough morning better.

It'll be interesting if the league office propogates this "class act" with their own "class act" of sweeping it under the table. Don't I remember another "class act," Michael Vick being "recognized" with a hefty league fine?
We'll see if the league continues to destroy the "integrity" of the game (like the obvious manipulative officiating) by looking the other way. "Classlessness" begets "classlessness."

stuff like this has "always" gone on in the NFL, but it wasn't under so much scrutiny. If you are under a camera every Sunday in an emotional sport are you likely to be 100% politically correct all the time? No, I don't think 90% of us would be.

If you are using firefox, download an add-on called NetVideoHunter. It will let you save Youtube videos, as well as any other streaming video on the net.

And I have the video saved.

The thing about senility or "dementia" if you will is that some people and I dare say most people in Bud Adams circle possess enough maturity/class/dignity/whatever to be able to afford to get a little weird as they get older. Bud could not afford to lose what little sense of proper public behavior he had.

Now, if a player did this, or a coach did this what do you think the resulting fine would amount to? What happens to Bud for doing this?

The 86-year-old Adams was seen throwing an emphatic series of middle fingers from a luxury suite at LP Field in Nashville, Tenn., after the Titans (3-6) had secured the blowout over the Bills (3-6), which included 24 straight points in the fourth quarter.

Yeah, Goodell said he's all about protecting the image of the NFL by being very vigilant about "who" is an owner in the league.

Rush Limbaugh is blacklisted, but Bud Adams does THIS and it's just a little speed bump to slow the car down and get over without too much trouble being made of it.

And then you have players, like the Fake Irishman, celebrating and saying "I'm all about it if you're having fun. Do what you do."

Yet the big concern with Limbaugh was "how will players for the Rams react with Rush as an owner?" LOL.

Simply amazing.

This doesn't even consider the issue with J-Lo (part owner of Dolphins) who has a very embarassing video that's been released. So this whole bit about the NFL being careful who they allow, because "We don't want negative persons with distracting messages as owners in the NFL" is bogus.

Bud should be fined so heavily for this. And he should be fitted for a future loss of 1st round draft pick if he does it again.

While I don't think it was directed at Fisher, I do wonder if Fisher's days are numbered with the tacks. To have the owner publicly call you out and say he wants VY to play, and then have the team go on a 3 game winning streak, it's got to be eating at Fisher. I just wonder if he won't resign at the end of the season,:thinking:before bud fires him. Either way, I just can't imagine Fisher sticking around. Too much pride.

I think Mike Vick got fined $10,000 a few years ago when fines were lower.

Yup, Bud always was weird. This is a recent picture of him and he's dressed that way since the 70s. I think they kept that Columbia Blue color in their unis so he could continue to wear his bizarre clothes:

this city is a powder keg ready to explode in civil war a week from now. lets all try and keep it civil. TRY. i know itll be hard

does anybody....anybody at all get any pleasure from the fact that it was buffalo he did it to?

does anyone think houston can win a close game? i get this feeling that if shaub and company dont light up the titans secondary (which they definitely can) and get out to a big lead, next monday could be a sad night for a lot of houstonians.

It appears they won a close game this year when they beat Tennessee by 3 in Nashville. Far from getting out to a big lead, Houston was down 14 before rallying to recover in the second half. Maybe you forgot about it.

Nice!

This is the owner that Titans fans in Houston follow. He stole football from Houston, yet some Houstonians follow his team.
He neve lost money in Houston, he just wanted more, so he moved our team.
He mocks Houston by having his mascot wear LUV YA BLUE stuff. ...and they still follow a team based in Tennessee while Houston has a fun young team to follow.
I just don't understand Houstonians that still follow the Titans. There is no connection left to the Oilers, just some crazy old man that took our NFL team away.

CJ looked just as good without VY's unstoppable option attack against us week 2. The Texans overcame his unbelievable rushing skills to win, mainly because Tennessee features the absolute worst pass defense in the National Football League. I do not believe that Vince plays Cornerback. And I haven't seen Tennessee do much to address this glaring weakness, other than play Buffalo, San Francisco, and Jacksonville -- three teams that just happen to be among the worst offensive teams in the NFL and thus unable to exploit the Titan's shortfalls.

true...i greatly fear the texans passing attack. greatly. all im saying is, tenn had time to march down and win the game. the texnas defense is mediocre and any qb worth his salt has to be able to make that drive. instead the unathletic texans' like unclutchness of KC derailed us before the drive could get going.

the texans played clutch on one drive, and if memory serves me (it probably doesn't this is just more conducive to my argument) didn't the texans break a huuuuuge play on that drive; ie, it wasn't clutch but just one great play? but they still shouldn't have won that game.

there no way vince is fumbling on a game winnign drive. he takes that same play kerry fumbled on and instead runs 8 yards before going out of bounds.

were hot, and with vince converting third downs all day long, the defense is getting to rest, which has been a major reason for their success on defense the last four years.

if vince had started the season at qb i think the titans would be anywhere from 5-4 to 7-2. 7-2 in my opinion the titans injured their top 3 dbs and hadnt signed their fourth unti 3 weeks ago (hood). they never had a chance without those guys going against indi or new england. but i guarantee the scores would have been closer. first of all, vince would have got more than 0 first downs. its pretty hard for a defense when they play the entire game on the field.

andre johnson is everything. ill give u that, but unless he makes an otustanding play down the stretch (which he definitely can) i tend to believe matt schaub is going to force one over the middle or throw an out route short

the texans wont be able to run against tenn when they need a yard. texans problem all yr and a relative strength of the titans.

passings gotta be there

projection:30-24, tennessee

god this is exciting. can everyone agree on that? i fully hope and expect all of you to gloat like mad after winning.

sidenote: with new england losing and playing back to the pack, they are much more likely to be playing tom brady against houston in the last game of the season

From the Oiler days I remember Bud was a big wine connoisseur. Lots of vino in his Box at the Dome.

I wonder how much of it was Bud being an a-hole and how much of it was just a drunk 86 year old man.

$250,000.00 does send a message.

I hear you....

I don't care if it's Dud or Bob McNair, that was terribly inappropriate behavior for anyone let alone an NFL owner. Hopefully he realizes that paying fans have children that go to games.. Then again with his past history, he really doesn't care.

Anybody else here fans of the series no longer on HBO entitled "Flight of the Conchords"? If not nevermid. If so tell me this incident didn't remind you of one particular episode of that series ?
But the ole Budster was certainly in poor taste, a real jerk and bozo, but nevertheless I thought it was hilarious.

I dislike Bud as much as anyone, but looking at these pics is.......uncomfortable. With the pics and his obvious bad behavior I think his wife dying is killing him as well, that plus the fact that he's 150 years old. I give him six months to be honest.

Having said that I hope he has a miserable Monday night. :cowboy1:

I think you have some good points but it's interesting to note that he only did this after the commish left his suite so obviously he knew enough not to do that with him sitting there.

And I've read this is not the first time he's done this so....but yea he's really old and looks very frail and ill.

I guess the commish didn't have much sympathy for him with the big fine and all.

if vince had started the season at qb i think the titans would be anywhere from 5-4 to 7-2. 7-2 in my opinion the titans injured their top 3 dbs and hadnt signed their fourth unti 3 weeks ago (hood). they never had a chance without those guys going against indi or new england. but i guarantee the scores would have been closer. first of all, vince would have got more than 0 first downs. its pretty hard for a defense when they play the entire game on the field.

andre johnson is everything. ill give u that, but unless he makes an otustanding play down the stretch (which he definitely can) i tend to believe matt schaub is going to force one over the middle or throw an out route short

the texans wont be able to run against tenn when they need a yard. texans problem all yr and a relative strength of the titans.

passings gotta be there

projection:30-24, tennessee

god this is exciting. can everyone agree on that? i fully hope and expect all of you to gloat like mad after winning.

sidenote: with new england losing and playing back to the pack, they are much more likely to be playing tom brady against houston in the last game of the season

I respectfully disagree new guy. Welcome to the board.
