schaub was pathetic on that block. he didn't even make an attempt

He's not David Garrard.

This is pathetic. They are playing scared.

This is exactly it. They are intimidated.

Looks like the offense is sleepwalking through another 1st half. That's OK against Buffalo. They're not in Buffalo anymore, Toto.

Beautfiul play by Cushing.

Cushing is the only one that came to play today.

Is Schaub serious. He wouldn't outrace a snail and he tries to run on 3rd and long. Damn. This game already sucks.

Blitzing 2 + Zone Coverage = 10 yard gain by Manning. Every time.

How are there receivers catching the ball without a defender within 10 yards on the edges?

Carr Bombed

Hmm.....what do you know, Dunta was over there in time to push Wayne out after the catch.

why the hell are we playing so tight?

Dunta is slow as **** no longer is a legit starter on a good defense, That and we can't cover TEs.

That and when you allow free releases you don't distrupt the Colts timing patterns.

DerekLee1
11-08-2009, 12:51 PM
I said one of the keys to this game was going to be masking the blitzes. The problem so far is that there don't seem to BE any blitzes. Peyton has 6-7 seconds on every play to let their great receivers get open. And with the zone coverage they're playing, it's leaving LB's matched up on WR's. Not good so far. It's amazing they only have 13.

ReliantTexan
11-08-2009, 12:52 PM
There's no way you can pin this on the defense. If you haven't checked, guess how many first downs our "elite" offense has. No shit manning is going to score some points when he's always on the field.

Hope everybody is thrilled with our elite defense and frank bush.

To be somewhat fair, you also have to recognize that we are playing the UNDEFEATED Team Peyton. Defenses have trouble with him for years and probably will until he retires.

That said, the defense has not played well, yet we are only down two scores. It could very easily be 21-0 right now.

DexmanC

familiar?

I say, when you consider the offense has gone 3 and out twice, and threw
a pick on 1st down, the defense has played REMARKABLY well. That's 3
free posessions the offense gave to Manning, and they're ONLY down
13.

Why don't we ever work out of the shotgun and try to spead things up a little so Schaub can get into a rhythm? I mean it takes so long for Schuab to complete his 3 step drop, by the time he's ready to throw, Freeney is already breathing down his neck.

I'd go shotgun and see if I can get my QB in rhythm.
