With all of the injuries on the Colts, Manning will put the team on his shoulders and bring his "A" game. How will the Texans respond? I'm not sure. I hope we go toe to toe with the Colts and put up a fight. The Colts have played in probably 100 or more games like this one since 2002; the Texans have played in 0. I hate to sound pessamistic, but I'm not sure the Texans can handle the pressure. Let's all hope I'm wrong - won't be the first time.

TEXANS GONNA RIP A NEW ONE IN COLTS DEFENSE

The Colts defense having a thin secondary just means Manning has more opportunities to score. Lets hope this is our defense's coming out party!!!

Our defense already had a coming out party, it's just important for us to keep the party going. :ant: :whip: :dancer:

We always get his best. He always shreds us. He's going to get his, no matter what. It's going to be about us getting TDs instead of FGs, and protecting the ball.

When did our defense perform in a big game against a top offense this season?

We win this game we're still in the hunt for the division. Big game... check

The Colts are 4th in yards and tied for 6th in PPG. Top offense...check

Any other games that would fit the bill? The Bengals game is the only one that came close and their offense isn't near what Indy will bring us on Sunday.

I dunno. Let's seeee...

Manning > Palmer
Wayne = OchoCinco
Addai < Benson (at least at the time)

I'd say they were a top flight offense and we held our own.

Okay, truth be told the Colts offense is better than the Bengals. But we've held our own against them too. And that was without Cushing, Pollard, and A. Smith in the mix.

I ain't guaranteeing anything but I like our chances.

The Texans have the talent necessary to beat the Colts. We really do. We have the talent to be a playoff team now. It's a matter of attitude and if the Texans have it, we be there in the playoffs. We shall see.

Even with the player losses on our side, our defense is multi times better than the last time the Colts played us. Peyton may not be able to be stopped, but our present crew has the potential to slow him down. Pressure will be the key. Maybe not sacks. But we should still be able to hit the crap out of him often enough, even if he does manage to release quickly like he is capable of doing. A couple of "dings" can make him think a little more about ringing bells and the birdies flying around his head, and allow us to get the best of him.

The Bengals game was a coming out party for our defense, we beat a team with a pretty good QB, pretty good WR, and the leading rusher on the road.

The Colts game would be a statement game for our enitre team or franchise, but defensively we've already come out cuz if we hadn't then we wouldn't be 5-3 right now my man.

The only thing is that the Bengals offense is very balanced and very successful because of the run. Our run d is outstanding. We could make them one dimensional and take away a key part of their team.

The Colts run the ball only 1/3 of the plays, and are a very, very dangerous passing team. Our secondary is not great. It will interesting to see if this hurts us at all, since losing the run doesn't affect the Colts

The key to that game for us was turnovers, they actually moved it pretty well on us, but we generated key turnovers that stole thier momentum.

If we generate a 2+ turnover ratio in this game we will win.
