I dont know but it seems like we dont throw him the ball anymore or look his way

what is it

are the oppents D just shuting him down

or is he just not getting open and running bad routes

Who cares? As long as our Offense keeps playing good does it really matter? Eventually teams will start to adjust their defenses to stop OD and AJ more and it will open up for Walter again.

I think the hamsting injury REALLY hurt him and he and Schaub just haven't gotten that chemistry back.

Don't worry though, because if he doesn't have a breakout game by the time we face Jacksonville......he will in that game. Walter usually always beasts against Jacksonville.

I think it has more to do with 2 things:

1. The emergence of #12, Jacoby Jones.

2. Teams have not yet begun to triple-team AJ like they did last year.

If AJ and JJ continue to perform like they are, then Walter will get his touches.

I think it's because the QB is throwing to whoever is open and he's been open 15 times that 80 and 81 aren't.

^This. I still am not convinced K-Dub is 100% yet and Jacoby is playing well. Walter will get his touches.

We do throw to Walter, except Schaub can't seem to locate him.
Walter is "a little too short" but "a little too fast" for Schaub; he kept throwing behind Walter and way upstairs, like just before the half in the Bengals game! :chef:

I think the emergence of OD has alot to do with it as well. That is why our offense has taken off. We are finally taking advantage of the safety's cheating up to stop the run and cheating over on AJ. As long as we continue to get OD the ball over the middle our offense is going to click whether our running game is working or not. When teams start scheming for OD either our running game will return or AJ will really light it up.

We really have a well balanced offense.

Someone should retitle this thread to "why aren't we throwing to AJ today?".
