All top 3 teams did a great job of getting the win. But none looked like a complete championship team doing it.

At this point, I see Bama peaking with their defense playing strong, and offense sputtering. Florida is a good overall team but seems to be struggling on both sides of the ball. And Texas' offense has been a shadow of their 08 season, their defense has been as good as Bama, and their offense should eventually find their rhythem. If Texas can get their offense back on track IMO they have the inside track to a national title.

USC is way behind the big 3, waiting in the wings as usual, but they will move up big time the more they win. Watch out for Iowa too. They've played most of their tough schedule by dispatching Penn State, Michigan, & Wisconsin, but they still have to play Michigan State and Ohio State.

Go Hawkeyes!!!

They have obvious deficiencies on offense: But if those 2 freshmen RBs get going and Ricky Stanzi avoids the turnovers and keeps feeding the ball to their TE Moeaki they will be able to score enough points to compete with anybody. Their defense is as good as any in college football and they're the best at forcing turnovers to put their offense in a position to win the game.

AJ Edds, Pat Angerer, and Tyler Sash from the defense are all gonna be playing on Sundays. That team as a whole is young and talented.

I hope they can run the table but it looks tough with a road games against a resurgent Michigan State and an angry Ohio State still on the agenda. If they can run the table though, they've got a shot at getting into the Nat'l championship and giving whoever they play a run for their money!!!
