ALLEN PARK, Mich. The Detroit Lions have signed defensive back Demarcus Faggins and wide receiver John Standeford.

Faggins played the previous seven seasons for the Texans, who drafted him in the sixth round in 2002 with the 173rd overall pick. He has played in 82 games with 36 starts, recording five interceptions and three fumble recoveries.

Standeford played in nine games for Detroit in 2008, starting four. He had 15 receptions for 244 yards.

Also Wednesday, the Lions released defensive tackle Chuck Darby, signed defensive end Robert Henderson to the practice squad and released defensive back Deandre Wright from the practice squad.

Remember when Faggins said the Texans were too tense and he's glad to be with the Titans because their locker room is so relaxed and loose

On the way to sign their contracts, Standeford beat Faggins to the table.

I'm glad he has a job. Enough unemployment going on.

Good for Faggins. I hope they put him in a nickel back/dime back role, where he can succeed.

Just a question, why do people rip someone after they are no longer on the team.. Now he wasn't good, granted, he was let go, so now he gets picked up by another team and some people make jokes... I just don't get it... Must be a slow day for some !

I dunno. I kinda hold this moment as being pretty special.

To try and give someone a chuckle here and there! I'm sure Faggins gives a rats booty about what I think.

As for the picture, that was a cool moment and the guy getting the faceful of junk I believe is Chris Aldridge they guy who wears the helmets with horns and the overalls. He also used to wear overalls with a hard hat when we had the Oilers.

In other news, CB Jason David is still out of the league. I guess Faggins looked good in comparison.

I remember the first game after the Saints signed Jason David, and at the time I thought the Saints had the only secondary worse than the Texans.

I thought it was you!! :spin:

I knew it wasn't you, cuz you prefer not to wear shirts when you have junk in your face, but that's another story in itself....

...........:hmmm:

Lions CB Phillip Buchanon was benched in favor of DeMarcus Faggins in Sunday's loss to the Packers.

This is the second time in four weeks Buchanon has been benched. Buchanon is dealing with a hand injury, but that wasn't the reason he was among Detroit's inactives. Aaron Rodgers shredded the Lions for 358 yards and two touchdowns.
