He has experience, he's been a d-coord, he's been a head coach. If there was any coaching change made mid-season, I think it would be him taking over for Bush calling the defense. I know Gary said he liked the game Bush called and the execution was the problem but maybe the guys just aren't listening hard enough to Bush. If this team loses to the Raiders sunday SOMETHING has to happen. If Jamarcus Russell and the Raiders run game has a field day, this is the move we have to make.
And BTW, Gary will not be fired midseason contrary to what Solomon said/implied in his article.

It's been pretty well chronicled that he's had health problems and that's why he's not much more then a position coach.
I do agree that out of everyone on staff right now he's the only one that if, for some reason Bob McNair got a wild hair, we did make a mid season change he's the only one that inspires any confidence. I don't think McNair will do that though. I think he'll let Kubiak know the writing is on the wall if he hasn't already.

Kubiak said on his radio show that all the coaches on each side of the ball work together on schemes and game plans. That means Rhodes is helping Bush. No improvement there. I still think it's more lack of players than coaches. That's some pretty pedigreed coaches we got on that there staff of ours.

I didn't realize the health problems GoldenSilence mentioned, I feel bad for the guy now sheesh. But yeah all the coaches are putting in their 2 cents, obviously they're paid to do that, and I'm sure Rhodes has been all over Frank since he was hired. I just think when someone loses a job it shows accountability from the owner and sends a message to the players. I know all the defensive guys would feel awful if they knew they got their coordinator fired. Maybe they'd play better.
