Wow....I predicted a blow-out....with the Bolts doing the ass kicking....but boy...was I wrong. See guys, if the Raiders can do this, don't lose faith so quickly in the Texans :smooch:.

Guess Seymour has had a major impact on the Raiders...at least D wise...they look like a whole new team(Defense wise), Offense still has much to improve on though.

Hopefully Al breaks open his wallet(not like its ever closed anyways) and signs Seymour to a longer deal.

What's your opinion on Russell? This is is third year and he's still very inaccurate. And is he overweight or is it just the padding? He looks a bit flabby to be a starting QB to me.

I only need 0.02 more points from Gates tonight. Two one-hundredths of a freaking point. About eight inches on this point scale. :wild:

Kulluminatii
09-14-2009, 11:34 PM
Aye, he is a bit overweight, but he has shed a few over the past couple of weeks. IMO, a better O-Line will help him immensely, along with a better set of WRs...but then again, if all QBs had that, they would all be better:redface:. Like you said, his accuracy is very poor, but that is fixable. Its his mentality Im worried about, his performance degrades significantly as soon as the Raiders are behind. If he can improve his focus, and be more determined to improve his accuracy(and shed a few more pounds;) ), he can become the QB a lot of Raider fans thought he would be.

That being said, if he doesn't improve significantly this year...I would love for us to start looking for a new QB...whether that means we draft one or pick up a vet.

Raiders defense looks like a force to be reckoned with now that they have their talisman, Seymour.

They have very nice veteran depth on that DL. Reminds me of when Jimmy Johnson used to play 8 DL and just shuttle them in and out keeping them fresh.

Rivers looks like dog doodoo. I had Gates, Rivers, and Jackson and I was down 16 points in fantasy football...should be easy win....I am still down 10 points.

Throw a touchdown, Rivers. Please.

well...when it matters...we choke. Still proud of the D, and I know the game is far from over, but the way the Offense has been playing...the only way I see us winning this game is if our D gets some key fumbles/INTs and returns them for a TD...or two...hoping for three just in case:drunk:.

finally rivers and jackson do something for my team. with rivers, gates, and jackson on my fantasy team maybe i invested too heavily in the Chargers.

it is a road game against a rival but still...their OL is in shambles.

for the record, i hope the Raiders win. always been a closet Raider fan since i played for the Spring Raiders.

Oh well, I can't even say I'm disappointed...since I was expecting a blow-out from the beginning. One thing is for sure though, Russell needs to seriously step his game up...because he is the only one I see at the moment that is holding this team back.

You guys are on the rise. If Houston would have represented like that this week I could have accepted the loss much easier. :barman:

I don't get it. Raiders are totally aggressive and go for it on a 4th and 15 from their own 40 with two minutes to go. And they totally play a very vanilla non agressive defense to end the game and they let the chargers march down with no problem. Screw it, if you are gonna be aggressive, be aggressive on both sides!!!

Kulluminatii
09-15-2009, 12:50 AM
I hope this rise continues, but Im not so sure. Russell as of right now is not our QB...and DHB..while we were able to evade that prima-dona Cashtree, is all speed...and thats it(for now anyways). I wish that senile prick would finally hand over the organization to somebody, hell even his own son if it was guaranteed he would not interfere anymore. I would have loved to have picked up Monroe or Raji.

I thought Murphy was the better pick by far and the Raiders got him for a good price. DHB was overrated, but the Raiders owner loves speed and cant look past that. Look at it this way Louis Murphy is the WR that all should have got in DHB.

Yeah, you got a point there. Murphy looks well on his way to becoming our #1 receiver ( or at least #2 behind Schilens). Im hoping DHB learns to catch the ball better...but he has a better chance of growing a 2nd pair of arms from the looks of it...you just cant coach catching.

LT doesn't equal speed and elusiveness that Sporles has and I can only assume Norv wanted the fastest guys in the field. WTF I don't know why!

Well, I was going to chalk up the Raiders as a victory. But not with Seymour.

That Raiders defense is a completely different team with him in the lineup.
