Vikings horrible with penalties tonight

Spike
08-31-2009, 09:13 PM
How many penalties did we need to get a stop?

Bullshit hit by Favre...dude should no better.

I am concerned that we are stopping them with penalties rather than by our D play.

Favre's shot makes Trent Green's hit on Travis Johnson look clean!!

Wow I hope Wilson is ok. Wtf is Favre cheap shotting people for? Its preseason.

I am concerned that we are stopping them with penalties rather than by our D play.

I'm not worried about that. Sometimes, those penalties come because we're wearing them out. Hopefully it's our D play that's causing them to make those penalties.

Who was allen's sack against in the first half? There was a lot of pressure at the start of the game.

On Schaub, he held onto the ball for too long. Duane was lined up across from Allen tho.

Thx

Now that the bad taste in my mouth from the 1st play of the game is partially subdued, at least the game is close. The D bowed up somewhat and the O showed signs of life. Really dissappointed that the China Doll went down with the ankle already. We all need to ask ourselves this....even though we weathered the storm from the first quarter....do GOOD Playoff teams give that kind of play up from the 1ST f-ing play of the game.....despite the opponent. The fact that this is a pre-season game is totally irrelevent. That play was just a case of our starting D getting manhandled at the point of attack....no matter how vanilla the D so no one should candy coat that for themselves IMO. I can forgive some of the offensive play.....but the D took too long to show signs of life; unacceptable.

I gotta get up @ 5, so gonna watch the rest offline.......hope they win and that the D learned some stuff. I really hope that we still come out strong and make the playoffs, but this D is unsettling.

Im sure he wasnt taught how to put touch on the ball in Detroit. He knew 3 things.

1.Throw to Megatron
2.Handoff to Kevin Smith
3.Run out of the endzone.

When I said I didn't like him as a backup, you said he had to learn the West Coast which you said is real hard to learn. Oh that's right, that was 10 minutes ago.

problem this team is going to have is the no pressure without bringing the kitchen.

I expect a lot of screens to be used against the Texans D this year

I liked what I saw from the defense. I have some problems with the offense.

We need our corners to pick up on the screen passes (and figure out tackling). We need Pitts (or Studdard) to create some creases, because our RB's had nothing.

Thanks. I was hoping to catch the HD version of the game, not channel 13's crappy broadcast. I hope the Texans get another local station next year to show the pre-season games. In this day an age it's crazy to be broadcasting live sporting events in non-HD.
