Hey Andrew6, dont mean to hijack the thread but I am thinking of getting a Texans Tat this month. Where did you get your work done?

no problem, I got mine done in Amarillo at a place called Tat2gallery. The guy that did it was named Johnathan sp? anyways He did the one on the back of my calf and one on my chest for 450. His artwork was astonding and has been published in several magazines. The reason I chose him was I saw a tattoo he did on someones arm of a photo. I saw the photo next to the Tattoo and the tattoo looked better than the photo. I am completely happy with his work and would recommend him to anyone. I also got the tattoo several years back so he may not be there anymore. I do know a guy here in Houston that is a buddy of a guy I work with and I 'm told he does great work and is very resonably priced. If you want his info. shoot me an email and I'll get it for you.

Pretty good chance, yeah. I've been a fan of that possible move as well.

Problem is - he's not nearly as decisive as a runner as he was in college. Lots of dancing... not a great fit for our offense - but since he USED to be a great fit for it, I wonder if our staff could get him back to that place.

I'm sure they'll open it up more for Ramsey. VY was spoonfed that TD, very safe playcalling, OC is coddling him keeping him in low-risk high completion percentage situations.

Who knows what their coaches are telling him. I figure even if the back is a perfect fit for the ZBS he's still gonna need coaching up from our staff in order to get em to run exactly how we like our backs to run.

Anyone else find it incredibly awesome that when Bruce Smith was Mario's age he had 5 less career total sacks?? Smith is the sack leader and has 72 more than current active leader Jason Taylor. Factor in Mario only getting 4 sacks his rookie year. Just sayin' Mario is on a torrid pace and could be one of the all-time greats when he's done.

Watched most of the first half and unsurprisingly didn't care very much about seeing all the Houston Oilers stuff. This isn't all that surprising to me because I spent no time at all watching the Oilers in that uniform. There's no way the Titans can put that on and confuse my loyalties. They are very much "yours" Titan fans and no longer even a little bit "mine".

I might have felt differently had they played in their 90's Oilers uniforms but that didn't happen and I expect the fact that I don't know or care anything for most of the names on those jerseys would probably still outweigh anything else.

Actually I think it's kind of funny that everyone on their side of the field is wearing their "Houston Oilers" gear. To Tennessee fans that's got to be fun watching your team sport the name of a city in another state. I guess KC gets to do that too when their Chiefs go all "Dallas Texans".

I was impressed with the Titans first team but kept it in perspective. Tricky Fish is nothing like this when the regular season starts which is good and bad at the same time. They'll be as one dimensional as they always are which is good but they'll be really good at what they do which is (as always) bad. I think we'll match up against them much better than the Bills though. Buffalo is not a very good team and I don't think T.O. is going to change that.

I'm sitting in our hotel room on vacation and only got to see the last half of the game. One thing I noticed was a kid on the Titans defense that looked pretty good. I think I heard them say that he was drafted in the second round.....and I think he's a lineman? Anyways, that kid seemed to be getting in the backfield on a regular basis. Seemed to have a really high motor. Does anyone know who I"m talking about? We may have to keep an eye on him this year, could be a force for them unfortunately.

I'll take a guess and say Tony Brown #97.....he looked noticeably bigger than last year...the Titans churn out lineman like the 2000-2006 Broncos did runningbacks so I'm not all that surprised. Chris Collinsworth had a good summation of the Titans d-line - paraphrased he said no one on that line will be commanding double teams on a regular basis like a Haynesworth but they all get up field in a hurry and create pressure.

You never know how players are going to turn out.

With all due respect, lots of people saw this coming. This is why VY was never on our draft board. So many people were shouting from the Vince-is-God train between January and April 2006 (and some folks, who shall remain nameless but whose name rhymes with Bichard Bustice, are still riding it to this day) that they drowned out the voices of those who dared to question whether the guy could play QB in the NFL.

In all fairness to the Bill's O-line, I heard the announcers mention that not one guy is playing the same position or is new - from last season. That's tough on any O-line, especially in a game after only a week + of camp.

As far as the Tinnbreds wearing Oilers unis, I have to admit that initially I wasn't bothered as much as I thought I would be. It did start to bug me a little after a while looking at the derrick on the helmet - but not that much..

Which all falls back on the head coach, IMO. He's got 2 rookies starting at the guard positions. Barring outstanding play from the rooks and a handful of average linemen, Juaron will likely be jobless after the season.

Maybe VY will be 1/2 right, being the next black QB to win a SB. However I don't know. If the Titans were stronger at the QB position I would be more worried however KC will have his meltdowns. Of course Trent Dilfer won a SB so I guess anything is possible. Then again we are talking about the Oilers here.

Hervoyel

Nobody wins anything in the first preseason game and nothing happened last night that couldn't be explained. Buffalo's offense was kind of inept. That happens when you switch every starter on the line and throw some rookies in. The first team didn't look that bad considering.

I saw a trick play that Fish won't dare run in the regular season and a good team beating up on a mistake prone rebuilding team. I know what that looks like because I've been watching it happen to the Texans for most of the last three years. The Texans can't take anybody lightly but I saw nothing in last night's performance that would lead me to think we can't beat the Titans at least once this year.
