in the article the Commish says the league wants to have Thursday and Sat. games... would this mean more national possibilities for the Texans? lets hope so

I wouldn't mind that, who knows maybe I'll get to see more that one texans game a year. :hmmm:

Thursdays...hmmm..I don't know why they just don't go with Fridays...Thursdays make too short of a week.

Saturdays I just don't see that happening..it conflicts too much with college football..and the NFL isn't allowed to show games the same time as college football is broadcasted (ie-Miami/Tennessee Saturday game).

I think they're staying away from Friday's because thats HS football night. If every football fan in Texas is out rooting for their favorite HS team then that might leave a big hole in the ratings.

What about Saturdays? Every fan in the country will be rooting for their favorite college team. I love my Texans and I love my Aggies, but I love my Texans on Sunday (or Monday), and my Aggies on Saturday. I agree with BOB, they can't invade college football Saturday!!!

Thursdays would be fine...Probably they'd manipulate the schedules so that the Thursday games come at the beginning of the season and the teams are coming off bye weeks...

As for Saturday...ummm...not too sure about that one...

Doesn't ESPN already have Thursday games?

I don't like that sacrifice your home game to give it to Mexico, as mentioned in the article.

Can you imagine them doing that for a Houston home game, and the hoopla it would cause?

That's why they said that the Cardinals were the rumored team to be giving up a home game...

It's a well known fact that the Cards don't have any fans, so why not expand the NFL fan base?

True, but don't you think the hardcore Bills fans would make the trip?

I think it's good for the league...More promotion and fanfare...

i agree with some games SOMETIME during the week, i mean i work every weekend and still get to watch texans games, but it wouldnt hurt to be able to sit at home for once and actually enjoy a few !

Saturday NFL games could be held between the time that the college football "regular season" ends and the college bowl games begin; that way there wouldn't be any schedule conflicts for fans who watch both college football and the NFL.

ummm.... the NFL is not allowed to have saturday games during the college season. It's some rule i don't know exactly but thats why we get saturday games later in the year. as for thursday games it creates the short week aspect which is a problem. now if you let 2 teams play on thursday after say a bye week then i don't see a problem

Why don't they just leave it like it is and move the game times back an hour? 1:00 and 4:00 instead of noon and 3.

well thats how it is on the eastcoast... its wouldn't work like that... MNF ends at around 12:30 every week

Thursday night football is kinda like the NFLs Monday night football, Friday I will be playing a game so dont put them on that day, Saturday is my College day and my warmup to the weeks NFL games the only thing that I could see happening is a double header on Mondays, maybe we could have a game at like 6:30 and another one following it at like 8:30.

I think there's some law that keeps NFL schedules from interfering with HS/College (Amateur) games, which is the only reason they stay off of Friday/Saturday night.

They could put some there later in the season though and it shouldn't interfere too much, atleast on Friday since the HS season isn't that long.

I would like to see Sat. games after the college regular season is ended. I would also like to see the Super Bowl moved to Saturday. Then, you have all day Sunday to recover.
