Colts moving to L.A.?

Date: Feb 5, 2005

Unless the indy legislative branch can get their act together, the Colts stadium deal that would have kept the team here in Indy for the next 30 years is apparently dead. Republicans would like to make this as dificult as they can on Democratic Mayor Bart Peterson, while it appears everyone in government has their own plan on how to finance it. As a result nothing has been accomplished, and no ground has been broken.

I thought the Saints were closer to being relocated than the Colts.

I remember reading here or somewhere else where their owner had given them a Feb. 2005 deadline to make some decisions about the Superdome.

Sounds like some city is going to be really disappointed when their team packs up and moves.

Rams could be headed back:"And speaking of stick-and-ball sports, the official Media Tour Rumor That Refuses To Die is that NASCAR Chairman Brian France is trying to buy an NFL team. Specifically, multiple sources close to the situation claim France and Rupert Murdoch's son are trying to buy the St. Louis Rams and move the team back to Los Angeles. http://www.stltoday.com/stltoday/sports/columnists.nsf/berniemiklasz/story/08D45B2207F74F9086256F9E00823CFB?OpenDocument&Headline=Mizzou+officials+back+Snyder

Well I don't care which team moves to L.A. anyway. If the Colts get shipped to California, they better beef up their D. If it's the Saints... well can't say much considering the fact I don't hear enough about them to know what's up with them other than the stadium deal. Give the move to the Saints so that way they can get as much media coverage as the L.A. :loser s.
