Talking about growing up with hearing loss and lip reading, learning how to make lasagna and playing with Mario.

Chalk up another amazingly nice, talented genuine guy to our roster. Long term success.... here we come.

I wonder if Kubiak was with the Denver organization when Kenny Walker was there back in 1991-92?

I ask because Kubiak seems to be really comfortable with Barwin's disability.

According to his wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gary_Kubiak) Kubiak retired in 1991 and started coaching at A&M in 1992.

I looked up Walker's wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenny_Walker_(American_football))too.

Walker starred at the University of Nebraska, playing in the Senior Bowl in January 1991. At his final home game at Nebraska, the capacity crowd showed their appreciation for Walker by signing "applause" to him in unison.

That is really special. I remember from my days in a Big 12 town how nice Nebraska fans were compared with some of the others.

To a deaf person isn't signing applause the same as actually applauding?

No.

The sign for applause in a conversation is by clapping your hands as if you would anywhere else.

Now the proper way to do an applause is to raise both arms fully above your head and extend all fingers outwards then rotate hands from side to side in a circular motion quickly.

Doing the applause isn't the same as the actual signed word, applause.
