PITTSBURGH (AP) -- Rookie quarterback Ben Roethlisberger broke a couple of toes on his right foot during the Steelers' AFC title game loss to the Patriots, but he doesn't blame the injury for his error-filled play.

Roethlisberger didn't specify Tuesday which toes were broken, and he wasn't walking with an apparent limp. He believes he was hurt while stumbling on a 13-yard run late in the first half, amid a drive that later stalled in the 41-27 loss Sunday.

``It's a good thing I'm not punting any more,'' said Roethlisberger, who was a part-time punter in college at Miami of Ohio.

Those were 2 tough QB's, Brady played with 103 temp and an IV in his left arm...They said he was very sick....GEEZZZ, what motivation...

Earl gave up a LOT of himself. It's a sort of glamorouse life, but one HARD road.

Steelers coach Bill Cowher said Ben Roethlisberger does not have broken toes, no matter what his quarterback told reporters earlier in the week. Roethlisberger said he suffered broken toes late in the first half Sunday, but Cowher said Roethlisberger was making a reference to toes that were broken either in high school or college and aggravated while he was scrambling in the first half against the Patriots.
