Scheduling conflicts? How can their be scheduling conflicts because of their new stadium if the game is played in Houston?

Think maybe they don't like losing to the Texans.

I am so sick of Tampa Bay. Thank god playing there instead of here. Could care less about the Cowgirls.

I really do not like playing the Cowboys during the pre season, and would rather see another team come into Reliant.

According to the information I have seen there will be at least 30 thousand parking places available for the new stadium.

At least Ranger fans won't be hogging the parking lot in any foreseeable October...lol.

What's the big deal, preseason doesn't mean anything, and if you get all excited about bragging rights in a meaningless game, well then it really sucks for you !!

NO! Oh, god no! I don't ever want to see them in another Super Bowl for as long as I live. Even if we were playing against them. I loathe the Cowboys and a trip to the Super Bowl would mean a good season for them and me having to hear their obnoxious fans all year.

I have the same question. Really though, what is the conflict?

The Texans and Cowboys have played a home-and-home preseason series. The Texans played at Texas Stadium in August, but the Cowboys won’t be coming to Houston this year because of scheduling conflicts involving their new stadium in Arlington.

As Gram pointed out another http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o195/Specnatz/Drugs-Crackpipe.gif reporting job by John and not asking what kind of lame-ass excuse this is. I swear we do not have one single reporter at the chron, what we do have is a bunch of numnuts who just relay what they are told.

My thoughts on this. Hahaha:

Something Texan and Cowboy fans will agree is repulsive in every respect (http://blogs.chron.com/texanschick/2009/03/something_texan_and_cowboy_fan_1.html)

I was looking for an excuse to use the screenshot. :chickendance:

Oh well, I wont miss playing the Girls in the preseason a bit. Now in the regular season, that's a different story. My uncle who is a Girls fan still swears to this day that 19-10 was a preseason game. :ok:

The only thing I could think of is that it has to do with the amount of away games vs. the amount of home games they have in preseason and for some reason they need to have that last game at home since the weeks prior they've played on the road due to the parking situation.

Hes the type of guy that swears the other teams cheats anytime the Girls lose, and you cant even mess with him about his team. Oh, and theres holding when the D gets schooled it never fails. He gets reeeeeal defensive, so in other words hes a typical Girls fan. :bat:

http://cowboysblog.dallasnews.com/archives/2009/03/cowboys-texans-not-playing-in-the-presea.html

The Cowboys will not play at Houston in the preseason because of a scheduling conflict that requires the Cowboys to play their second and third exhibition games in Arlington
with the Rangers out of town.

The teams were supposed to play in Week 3 at Houston this year. This will be the third time since the Texans' inception in 2001 the teams will not meet in the preseason. The series will resume next year, according to Texans owner Bob McNair.

"I'm disappointed," Cowboys owner and GM Jerry Jones said. "I think it is good for the league and we should do it every year. We should at least have a preseason game if we're not having a regular season game. We've got to schedule better and that's not being critical of anybody, but we've got to get that right."

McNair said he would favor the possibility of playing the Cowboys every year in the regular season if the schedule is expanded in the future.

"With the rotation of the schedule I don't know if you could do that," McNair said, "but that's something we would be very interested in."

Who won the last one? That's how forgetable this is to me. I mean, I always prefer to see a win over a loss no matter what we're talking about. That's a given. Preseason though is so hard to care about and all I usually find myself thinking is "don't get hurt! don't get hurt! don't get hurt!" so it sort of takes the fun out of it anyway. I'd really like to see them play in the regular season every year but I find it hard to get worked up over missing them in preseason.

We have played Tampa every single season, even before Kubiak was here. I was watching a profile on McNair and it said he was from Tampa so now it makes sense.

I think the NFL saves money on travel by scheduling teams in close proximity to each other as long as they aren't divisional rivals.

Not only have we played Tampa every year, it's always been the last pre-season game.
