GOPHERS HIRE TEXANS ASSISTANT TO COACH WIDE RECEIVERS

With all the talk of college coaches defecting to the NFL, the Minnesota Gophers have nabbed an NFL coach and brought him back to the college ranks.
Coach Tim Brewster announced the hiring of former Houston Texans special teams assistant Richard Hightower to coach wide receivers for the Gophers. Hightower spent the last four seasons on the Texans coaching staff.
“I’m very pleased to add Richard Hightower to our staff,” Brewster said in a prepared statement. “He’s a young man who I’ve known quite some time, going back to when he played at Texas. Richard has developed into an outstanding football coach. His experience as an assistant coach with the Houston Texans will be invaluable to him as he joins our staff. Richard is going to help our wide receivers be the best they can be.”
Hightower played defensive back, wide receiver, and special teams as a player at Texas, where Brewster was an assistant to Mack Brown.
No biggie, but it's Texans news.....
