Two Broncos players said Sunday night they had been told Dom Capers would be the team's new defensive coach. Capers is a former Steelers defensive coordinator the team had the league's No. 1 defense in 1992 during Capers' tenure as well as former Carolina Panthers and Houston Texans head coach.

However there were indications that former 49ers coach Mike Nolan could be the pick as well and there were some in the league Sunday night who said they believed current Eagles secondary coach Sean McDermott would end up on new head coach Josh McDaniels' staff.

He was a poor Head Coach, but he's been a decent DC in the past and he's a great guy. I wish him well.

The Denver Houston relationship is extremely incestuous at this point. I guess this means that Denver is switching to the 3-4? Maybe Dumervil will be available to trade

I was just thinking the other day about the possibility of Denver switching to 34.

I'd guess they'd give him a shot at OLB. IMO, he'd be sick in a 3-4. I've only seen a hand full of Denver games, but he looks like he has the speed for the transition.

The more changes they make the better off we are. With the coaching connections we have here I hope they think they need to completely remake their defense and revamp their offense. If they opt out of the linemen they have for bigger "road grader" types we'll reap the benefits of that. If they go 3-4 then maybe other useful parts of their team will find themselves looking for a job?
