I think both teams have WR issues, so whichever one steps up to the challenge & support their QB. anyone hear from David Tyree lately? or Armani Toomer? how bout rookie Mario Manningham, thought he might surprise some people afterall he was a 3rd. pick. yet seems undrafted Domenik Hixon has become Eli Mannings go to guy.

On the other side little DeSean Jackson will be tasked to stretch the field for Philly. maybe a darkhorse like Jason Avant steps his game up. pretty even, both question marks.

running game dead even if you consider McNabb in equation. defense both physical, Giants suffered alot of premium players off last years SB team to injury's. gotta go with homefield, I guess...Giants by 3 1/2 :)

Same here, BUT, I'm going with the Eagles. Spread the wealth sort of thing. Let someone else have a chance at the allusive "ring." Besides, I'm not a huge Eli Manning fan.

Nice kickoff return though by the Giants!!

This is a hard game for me to cheer for because the Eagles are my second favorite team but I'm really hoping McDermott is the guy that the Texans are wanting to interview for the DC. Guess it's sort of a win win for me. Eagles win awesome if not....we might get our DC.

Weird game so far. Intentional grounding in the end zone, missed field goals, crazy wind

Where is Buddy Ryan when you need him? Someone needs to go punch the hell out of Kevin Gilbride. The Giants should be running Jacobs a hell of a lot more.

I understand Andy Reid being mad that they picked up that flag.

But I'm confused as to why it was thrown in the first place. No way that was pass interference.

Eagles have outplayed the Giants in the second half. Giants are in some serious trouble.

9 point lead with wind at their backs in this final quarter - go Philly ?

mexican_texan
01-11-2009, 03:43 PM
I like the Giants' offense. I watched "Playbook" on the NFL Network yesterday and they had Eli Manning showing how some of their plays work. On certain plays, he'll make his line shift a couple yards left or right to give him a clear window to throw through.

gtexan02
01-11-2009, 03:44 PM
Has anyone else noticed that when a coach challenges something, they zoom in on the challenge flag with as much resolution as possible? We get it. Its a red flag. Why do they need to show it to us for 20 seconds?

I don't think the wind will affect the Giants too much. Eli Manning had a lot of his passes off target because of the wind, but if they're going to win the game, it's going to be on the ground.

Eli is having a bad game. He has only thrown one interception but his throws are off and wobbly. And you can't blame it all on the wind because McNabb's passes look pretty good.

Yeah, I've noticed that a few times. I think its funny when they do that. They really have nothin else to show except for the reply about 100 times though.

Nope. The Eagles have gone to two SB's but haven't won one yet. I actually wouldn't mind seeing them win it all. Those fans are starving for a title in football.

This darn playoff system the NFL uses, it would have been much better if we had judges picking the teams for the Super Bowl. Why should the Titans and Giants have to prove anything to these inferior teams in a playoff game when they had the best records in the regular season?

The Cardinals have never even sniffed the SB.

LOL at this thread on the Giants board (http://boards.giants.com/forums/thread/1145747.aspx)

Why not bench Eli and play Carr

If Andy Reid can bench McNabb who is head and shoulders above Eli - why doesn't TC brng in Carr to generate some offense - I watched him plenty down here whenh he played for HOuston. He can certainly do that and he is a much better passer and more mobile. As a matter of fact they should both compete for the starting job next season

Hmm, Hook'em is that you??

Holy ******!!!! Someone tell Mr. Smith to get on the phone stat to NY - obviously Eli sucks, we'll trade em Rosencopter... err... Rosenjumphigh... err... our backup for Eli - straight up and they can start Carr with a quality backup next year.

I have to admit that phone thing made me laugh. Eli should have been on that phone calling Buddy Ryan to come punch some sense into Kevin Killdrive ... Gilbride.

Carl Banks said his playcalling was like a child picking up crayons and trying each color with no rhyme or reason.
