Just heard on 610 that Derrick Johnson just signed with the agent in Houston. So he will be declaring for this draft.

Derrick Johnson is a senior so no surprise there.

Yeah, I expected him to this year. I think he might want to ride this "best LB in the draft" thing and see where it takes him.

Was anybody expecting him to declare for the '06 draft?

Derrick Johnson Anyone?!? I know everyone seems to be in love with Wong but 4 some reason I am not one of those people, don't get me wrong I think Wong is a talented linebacker but I'd like to see someone with more fire more energy and I think that person is Derrick Johnson.. I think this kid is SOO Talented in my book he is the best Pass Defense LB in the draft and for that matter in the past 5 Drafts...He plays OLB but move him ILB with Sharper and you get a Talented LB Corps....

Babin, Johnson, Sharper, Peek

To me thats a damn good LB corps and with the right NT a damn good defense... Here's alittle more on Mr. Johnson

Derrick Johnson may be the most explosive linebacker in the past few years in college football. He routinely makes big plays, and has done so all four years at Texas. Last year as a junior, Johnson racked up 125 tackles with 20 of them for loss, 2 sacks, 4 INT, and 9 pass break ups. His 3 year totals at Texas are amazing: 328 tackles, 46 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks, 8 INT, and 22 pass break ups.

Huh? what do ya say? I think we draft Johnson that soles up the LB corps then we find a NT in 2nd rd or one in FA

Is Derrrick Johnson going to be the Sean Taylor of this year's draft for us? :hmmm:

If we draft a ILB as small as Derrick Johnson, we'd better find a damn good NT who weighs around 360 lbs. Remember with a 3-4, ILB sometimes have more blocks to shed than a WLB or MLB in a 4-3
