View Full Version : Roto Reporting Mangini to coach Cleveland

The Browns have hired Eric Mangini as their next head coach. ESPN's Michael Smith reports it is a four-year deal.

Cleveland's obsession with the Belichick coaching tree continues. We can only hope Mangini buddy and Ravens pro personnel director George Kokonis is hired as GM as expected, because a coach/front office schism sunk Romeo Crennel. Mangini got an appropriate amount of wins in New York with the talent given, but his game-planning never approached his mentor's level and he didn't connect with the players. At least the Browns don't have to change their 3-4 defense; now they just need some pass rushers.

That makes them better? He led a team of 10-6, 4-12, and 9-7? Maybe the Jets 8-3 start and beating the Pats and Tacks this year impressed the brass
