kinda excited for this game. last time Miami was in the playoffs, the Houston Texans were looking forward to drafting a big-time star with the first pick in their franchise's history. :specnatz:

This will be a tough game for me to choose sides. I've met such terrific fans from both teams, and I would love to see them all happy to move on to the next level. BUT, since that AIN'T gonna happen, I think I might have to favor the Phins just a little. They've had a huge turnaround this year, and it would be great to see them march on.

SOOOO, for what it's worth! GOOOOOO MIAMI!!!!!

not a big fan of Bill Parcells, but kinda nice to see his team in the playoffs, while the team he left didn't make the playoffs.

Looking back on to it with 20/20 vision of course, I wouldn't have minded using our #1 pick on Ed Reed.

welp that was ugly. damn you Ed Reed, stabbing me in the back

zero running game, Pennington's two INTs were horrendous passes, defense can't consistently get off the field, also ZERO pressure on the rookie QB

luckily Miami improves big time in the second half pretty much every game. but Baltimore probably does as well, so i dunno what to expect now

despite his "limited arm" and a pretty below-average receiving corps, Pennington's managed to keep the turnovers to a minimum this season. he's just making terrible decisions today

That's it. I'm convinced we need to draft the best safety in the upcoming draft, just look at how beastly Reed is in this game(and overall in his career). If we had a centerfielder that is just a tad bit like Reed, it would make our D so much better.

luckily there are always tons of future Hall of Fame safeties in the draft every year, so no problem!

I'm not really knocking the guy. He has played well all year long. I just think he needs some more help. Bolden makes the 8 yrd pass into a 25 yrd gain. That is what the dophins need a #1 reciever.

The Dolphins need secondary help and a #1 receiver.

If there was a good CB left at where they pick in the first round that's what I would do. They also need to grab a safety after Jason Allen has been an absolute bust. Well he isn't terrible he just isn't good.

Well, of course there isn't! But that's why we need to draft the best safety in the draft that has the deepest safeties prospect class in a long time, that have a monster safety(in both plays, triangle numbers, and potential) at the top of the list.

Tay Mays for '09!!!!

You are right but did you see Ed Reed in college? He was absolutely ridiculous, similiar to how he is in the NFL.

I didn't really see any safeties that were dominating in college this year. Mays has the physical tools but I didn't see him take any games over, of course I don't watch USC every week.

yeah Reed was rare indeed. i thought Sean Taylor would be better but he never got even close to that level, and the potential alone doesn't come around often. saying "hey let's grab a guy like Reed in the draft" is like saying "hey Tom Brady is pretty good, let's get a QB like that this year"

That's absolutely ridiculous and ignorant. No where did I say grab a guy just LIKE Reed. Only said draft the best, that come even close to the guy pwning the Dolphins left and right in today's game. Agreed.

Ed Reed in college: 21 interceptions, 5 returned for TDs. 9 INTs in 2001 alone.

Taylor Mays in college: 4 interceptions.

Just picking the best safety available isn't going to have anywhere close to the effect that Ed Reed has on the Ravens defense, judging by what these guys have done in college. But bong is right, you can't really say that now.

He was pretty good in the Rose Bowl this year. While I don't think he had any picks, he did deliver some real punishing blows to the other team. You can tell they were afraid to go over the middle.
