It is going to be a tough vote between y'all and Shotgun 30, because his speech was a blast, too. [And we won both games!]

His speeches are great but not everyone is a politician.

John McClain talks a lot too but at the end of the day, it is not what you say but what you do, for Texans fans out of town, for charities, and to promote the fellowship of fans. We give out a helping hand for fans from across the pond, or across the city to help promote Texans football and tailgating the way it should be...free, sponsor free, and from the heart.

Making it a family orientated tailgate is another key as it is important to teach children the love of football and tailgating while showing them to respect other fans. Rival fans are not only invited but encouraged to come and sport their colors.

That is why people come to see us and when they come back we welcome them as if they are family. The Blue Crew family.

Honestly, I can say that there isn't one any better than the other, as it is how you want it to be that counts.
Since I have beem to several of the tailgate nominees, I will not vote, as there is no clear cut BEST TAILGATER out there. Blue Crew, you no doubt have a good setup over there, and it was enjoyable..and knowing that you cater to kids as well is a good thing, as those are the fans of tomorrow and they will be the ones carrying on your BC traditions !!

Well if you can't vote for Filo, you can vote Blue Crew. They are kind of our cousins on the other side of town. Filo and Blue Crew were two significant contributors in the Texans Ultimate Fan contest about four years ago when we gave food away to the Katrina homeless and anyone who came by. When the Texans wanted someone to showcase tailgating and push it to the next level, they knew where to turn (Filo and Blue Crew) to get it started.

Andy. You are a bad bad mens.

They were allegedly judging us by how enthusiastic we were. It got me to the finals but I lost that year. Won the year that the Super Bowl was in Miami so I guess that goes to show that sometimes it is good when you don't get what you want. IIRC, the SB the year of one of the bad karaokes was in Detroit.

Various aspects of that particular outfit have been retired. Starting with the hair. And the glasses. And the karaoke.

Thank you. I guess.

BTW, that is not a skirt. It is a skort. It has shorts under the skirt so at no time did I risk any sort of flashing no matter how much silliness I did. Skirts at sporting events is a no go.

My rule with the outfits is nothing vulgar. Whether each outfit works is a different question and is one of the perils of fashion.

Vote for Blue Crew.

Actually, that is a pretty remarkable showing for Platinum lot. Given that Platinum is WAAAAAY out numbered by the number of parking spaces, that's pretty durned good.

Truth be told, there's a ton of great tailgating out at Reliant. Anyone that says different doesn't know what they are talking about.

I thought it was a good showing also, for the same reason, PLUS, we got added to the voting quiet a bit later than the other lots.

Truthfully, I don't care much for this type of thing. I'm not a big fan of the tailgater of the game/year thing either. When fans are out there having a good time, entertaining friends/foes/family, and giving our boys lots of love and support, who cares about competing with each other. I realize it's a publicity thing, and might be good for marketing, but, there's a lot of great fans out there tailgating who keep it small, family centered, tailgate with a few friends, BUT, still contribute a lot to the tailgating atmosphere. I'll never forget the Sunday I was running a little late, pulled into the back row of the platinum lot and had to do a quick stop to keep from hitting this dude holding a platter and a fork. Said he brought to much food for his family and just wanted to share!! His little boy came up to my window and offered me some chips and a coke. NOW THAT MY FRIENDS is tailgating!! A great Texan fan out there with his family, cooking up a storm, and sharing it with fellow fans. BTW:he had fantastic brisket and sausage!:) This is the type of thing that makes me feel good inside, makes me want to be out there on that parking lot enjoying every minute of being a TEXAN fan!!!

Yea I am Proud that we even got entered, and we "Showed" Win place or show we are still in the money and we and the Raging Bull and the rest of Platinum got in late in a contest that allows you to vote as many times as you can. People have machines to do that for them isn't that right Fat Elvis.
When you hook up a voting machine to your computer you generate many votes in a short time. When you sit at the computer for hours on end voting you need to get a job. We got into the contest which I never thought would happen. Thanks John McClain and Anna Megan. That would have been good enough for me but oh no we Showed, 3rd place in both catagories with 800 spaces and about 200 that really show up. If you want a Tailgating Competition i SAY WE TEAM UP and challange other teams to test thier party ability against all of us. We are all Texans and We all deserve our name in lights cause we stick behind our team Win er I mean 500 lose or draw. We will get better and I am Sure we can win in the playoffs Before 12 years is up. That is the Standard the Cowpies have set and I hope it is extended for them. All in All it was a good competition and it was fun participating, Now back to the 2009 season that is now upon us.

When I traveled to Green Bay in December, I had heard that the Pack fans had some of the best tailgating in the country...so I had really high expectations.

Well...I had a nice time...the fans were friendly and they welcomed us in, but the setups were NO WHERE NEAR what we have at Reliant for tailgating.

I wasn't disappointed, but I certainly wasn't impressed either. That being said, our LOTS (yes...all of them) are the best!

Thank you Bob McNair for providing us this priveledge. Its been great since the beginning, and it only get better each year! Its not just a football game, its an entire experience!

P.S. - We may not have won...but its nice to be considered.

Yep...I went to Kansas City, the supposed king of tailgating locations, last year and it wasn't close to the atmosphere in Houston (at least in 2002). I remember when I had Oiler tickets the before and after in the parking lot was as fun as the Southwest Freeway at rush hour. You guys are damn lucky.

BTW - voted Blue Crew....sorry you didn't win.

OMG !!! I never knew Bill went that way... :hobie:
Not that there is anything wrong with it of course.... but if you had enlisted your Montrose buds into voting, your BC would have been the #1 tailgate group for sure !!
