I did a search and maybe I missed it (either on the search or all the doom and gloom posts after the Raiders game) about slaton and breaking the record

Anyway Congrats Steve on having the team rushing record for the Texans! :redtowel:

News: Steve Slaton had 66 yards as the Texans fell to the Raiders on Sunday. He has now accumulated 1,190 yards this season, which is a new team record, according to the AP. He added five catches for 36 more yards

He trails CJ by just 38 yards for the rookie rushing title. We need a good game from the little big man this week!

He also just got a new addition to the family, a baby boy: Brennan Knight Slaton. Congrats!!!

and I sure do hope he ends the year as the rookie with most rushing yards! Chicago will be tough though.

Slaton is 255 yards away from tying Domanick Davis' total yardage of that season as well (DD had 1786 yards from scrimmage that year). He's still five TDs short of that season, but it would be nice if he tied that in this final game!

HOUSTON: Rookie Steve Slaton obviously has good hands — he's lost just one fumble in 248 rushing attempts for the Houston Texans this season.

This week he used those reliable hands for a much more important task, helping to deliver his second son. The doctor was there to catch the baby, but Slaton's capable hands were also waiting to help welcome the baby into the world.

Slaton and his girlfriend welcomed Brennan Knight Slaton on Monday in Houston. He'll join 2-year-old brother Julian in the Slaton home.

Slaton missed the birth of his first son because he was away at college, so this was a new experience for the 22-year-old.

"It was great," he said. "It was just such a special moment for me."

If Forte and Slaton get 12 and 10 yards respectively this week they'll join Johnson to form the first trio of rookies to each rush for 1,200 yards in a season in NFL history.

Congratulations Steve!

Still scratching my head on how you didn't make the Pro Bowl...

If I got looked right, He is the leader in the rookie rushing (Johnson didn't play and Forte only had 50 yards
