My buddy at Iowa is getting the raw deal: a camcorder, a watch, and a ring.

Better then the Cotton Bowl. All that Crabtree and Harrell get is a watch. :lion:

LOL, they're not even pretending any more:

FedEx Orange Bowl officials have reserved a suite at each of the team hotels, the Westin Diplomat and Fontainebleau, and plan to stock them exclusively with Sony Electronics products. On the night that each of the teams arrives in town, the players will be invited to the suite, handed a folio that not coincidentally features their school colors and is emblazoned with the bowl logo, and given what is basically a $300 credit line. Players can check off from a list in the folio the items that they want (up to $300 in total value), and the gifts will be delivered to the addresses of their choice.

Man, my frosh year I was a redshirt a MS State. That year, we played in the Cotton Bowl against Texas the year Ricky Williams won the Heisman. I didn't play in the game, but the whole week in Dallas was a blast! First, they put us in the..well, hell, I don't remember the name of it. It's that big glowing tee ball hotel in downtown. First class all the way. Each player received almost $1500 apiece in spending money. We got to go to Lawry's Steakhouse which was delicious. We got to treated to free shows by Sinbad, the real popular ventriliquist guy that used to do the Hertz commercials, and Roy Firestone who was absolutely incredible. The guy can sing, he's funny, and can mimic any athlete. We each got a Sony Playstation, two new pairs of shoes, all sorts of new gear, new duffle bags, and so on. I'm leaving some things out, but I can't tell you how much fun that week was for us. Of course Texas kicked our ass that game, but I didn't care. I had fun all week long. Never forget it! The Cotton Bowl is definitely 1st class treatment for the players involved.

The watch they gave us was really nice. Actually, it was solid gold. The Cotton Bowl takes care of you, trust me.
