That Kevin Walter goes over 1,000 yards this season? Houston would then have two 1,000 yard receivers and a 1,000 yard rusher. Man, if only Schaub was healthy this entire season...

I say he has a very good chance he only needs 150 yds to hit 1,000. And when it happens yes it will be pretty awsome.

I agree, I think it is very plausible that he hits 1000 with three games remaining. I forget now what he's averaging, but it's up there. What are the chances Slaton gets to 1300, how sweet would that be?

Wow, I didn't realize that he was that close. That would be nice to see.

Here is the link to his player page on NFL.com. His YPC is really good this year too. Over 15. This is by far his best season.

Thanks, man! I've always liked Walter after we got him from the Bengals. My buds were down on him and kept playing up Davis or Jones, but I think KW has proven my point with them. He's a great complimentary weapon with AJ, and what a dynamic WR duo they make!

Anyone want to trade him back to the Bengals for a 7th rd pick? :fans:

I think what we have seen this year is that he has really got a grasp on the offense. He is an excellent route runner and he is actually pretty fast. The guy will sneak up on you and if that happens your done.

What makes it better is that he and AJ are great blockers at WR position. We are so lucky to have them both.

I know you say that in jest but I dont think I want to trade him for any pick. I will happily keep our perfect compliment to AJ.

And now we just need to find the same back for Slaton. Let's hope Slaton can hold up for these last three games. Also, what would be so bad about letting Ron Dayne back? He did fine with us last season.

Are you for real about Dayne?

Here's a question......how many offenses are on pace to have two 1,000 yard receivers and a 1,000 yard back.

When he gets his chance Ryan Moats is going to surprise people. Slaton has been so hot lately though we just can't keep him out of the lineup, especially in close games.

Yep.

It's not like he would be our main RB. Just a power back to compliment Slaton. He had 773 yards last season (4.0 yards per carry), and six rushing TDs. Not bad.

IMO Dayne is big, but he's not really a good short yardage runner. I mean just tearing up offensive linemans knees isn't the way to the end zone. We need someone with some pop. They don't have to be huge, but bigger than Slaton, can move the pile when needed, and spell Slaton enough that he isn't over-worked. It has to be someone who will be comptetent in a zone one cut scheme. Dancers and ballarenias need not apply. I think we can get someone in the middle rounds (4-6th) to fit the bill.

And the best thing that ever happened to Kevin Walter is Andre Johnson. I don't think Walter would thrive nearly as much if he were "the man". Heck, Andre will make any good #2 into a great #2, and an average #2 into a good #2. Just another way that great players have an impact that many casual fans don't notice or see. Like a pebble thrown into a lake. Watch the ripple effect that is Andre Johnson.

Cut and save this, you will need it again.

Here's a question......how many offenses are on pace to have two 1,000 yard receivers and a 1,000 yard back. And Owen Daniels is on pace to get 800 yards from the TE position. He only needs 127 yds. Quite a foursome.

Probably nobody - especially if Marion Barber misses any more games. But he (870 yards thru 13 games), T.O. (848 yards), and Witten (771 yards) probably give the Cowboys best chance. But finishing against the Giants, the Ravens and the Eagles won't make it any easier either.

Along the same lines, something else that could happen is one team having three 1,000 yard receivers. Anquan Bolden and Larry Fitzgerald are already there, and Steve Breaston is sitting at 863, so he'd just need to average about 45 yards a game to get all three of their guys there.

I remember one year in Madden, I had a 1,000 yared rusher, and three 1,000 yard receivers. Amazing I know. I already congratulated myself.

One year, many years ago, I had two 1,000 yard rushers and two 1,000 yard receivers. I don't even remember who they were now, but I remember doing it and being very, very impressed with my football acumen.

One of my 1,000 yard receivers had 2,000 yards actually. I have had two 1,000 yard rushers, too. The backup then held out the next season because he wasn't paid enough. I declared shenanigans and released him.
