Here is a new one to me.

If a team elects to execute the fair catch kick, they can line up to attempt a field goal at the spot of the fair catch. The opposition must line up ten yards away from the spot of the ball, and the kick must be made out of the hold of another player, or on a drop kick.

If it's kicked through the uprights, it's worth three points. If it's short and in bounds, the opposition is free to return it.
