OFFENSIVE OVERVIEW

The linebacker situation is so grim that former Brown Kevin Bentley now is starting on the strong side. He had his first career sack two weeks
ago. The secondary has three backups pushed into starting roles.

Ya know the may go in another direction come April....I don't see how they can pass on a linebacker with one of the first two picks.

I gotta real bad feelig about this one...young qb inexperenced....under acheiving team...cold weather...on the road, the stars are not allined with us on this one.

well if there is a defense that has a knack for giving an unexperienced QB a shot of confidence, Dr Smith has the answer. His defense reminds me of the Astros when they go against a rookie pitcher making is major league debut.. That rookie seems to throw lights out against us
(that is my perception that is burned in my brain)

Round 4 - Rinse and repeat

Yep.

Round 1 - DE

Please no more lineman in the 1st round. We're trying not become the Detroit Lions. We're currently 1/3, and I don't want to spend 6 first round picks on defensive lineman to shore up 2 positions

I like:
Round 1 - RB
Round 2 - LB
Round 3 - S
Round 4 - BPA all the way down

I'm ok with not taking a DL in rd 1, but I think we need one in the first 3 rds. Who do you propose is going to provide a pass rush?

I'm impressed with Tony's scouting report. Seems to have a good grasp of our team. I give us a 50/50 shot at winning even with Smith's defense making Quinn lood like John Elway. Mark my words, Kellen Winslow will go off on us!!

I don't like drafting a RB in the first especially since we have Slaton. Who is likely going to rush for a 1000 yards this season. I would draft one in the 4th or 5th to be Slaton's back-up. I would go defense in the first three or four rounds. Giving up 30 points a game is terrible. The offense is ok, but having them try to score 30+ points to stay in the game is not going to work for any team.

I would go:
Round 1 - LB
Round 2 - S
Round 3 - DE
Round 4 - Cb
Round 5 - RB

Ok, you've convinced me. Here is my revised list:

Round 1 - LB
Round 2 - C/G
Round 3 - S
Round 4 - RB
Round 5 - DE/BPA

I think you can get pass rush specialists a la Elvis Dumervil later on in the draft

Just a question, who on earth would you want in the first round as an RB, and why the hell would you want to take THAT position in the first round out of all the holes we have?

I understand not wanting to look like the Lions, but, WR =! OL/DL. If building the lines is what 75% of the people think of when talking about how to construct a winning football team, why should we be scared of defensive linemen picks?

Plus there are a ton of good to great DL's in this draft. I don't know if Terrance Cody is coming out (My guess is he will though), but I know Orakpo, Selvie, or Jackson would all be picks that I would not mind in the least.

My list:

1. DE/DT/OLB/FS
2. Whatever wasn't picked above
3. Same
4. Same
5. RB
6. OG/C
7. OG/C
