I was watching MNF last night, and one of the announcers said something pretty interesting:

Teams who are -1 in the turnover column for the season have lost 70+% of their games.

Pretty eye opening. I guess we need more than embroidered shorts to fix what is obviously a huge factor in our losses

I heard that too. Turnovers is definetly one of our biggest problems, but I still think our lethargic defense is just as big of an issue.

We turn it over too much on offense and don't cause enough turnovers on defense. The defense has caused 9 turnover for the season thats not going to cut it.

On the flip side, I heard during one of the games that teams at +1 win something like 80% of the time.

Just for fun, I checked the stats.

Sadly enough, the Texans are dead last at -13.
Not surprisingly, the Titans are 1st at +10

Here are some interesting surprises:
2. Chiefs - +9
3. Browns - +8
10. Raiders - +3
20. Steelers - 0
28. Cowboys - -7
30. Broncos - -10

The Texans have 21 turnovers on offense (lead the NFL in INTs).

We have created 9 turnovers on defense.

That is -12 for the season in only 10 games.

We posted at about the same time.

I got -12 from NFL.com, where did you get -13?

Maybe they're counting turnover on downs or something other than INTs/fumbles?

You're probably right.

Being like 12/36 (or something like that going into the Colts game) for TD's in the redzone doesn't help, either.

Sage gives up a turnover on 7.2% of his touches (passing attempt or rushing attempt).

For comparison, Jason Campbell is at 1.2%.
