Bet your ass I was surprised. When has Donovan McNabb ever proved to be a complete moron in the past? He's one of the more cerebral quarterbacks in the league.

Now - if it had been Vince Young? Less surprised.

The most surprising thing is that an NFL game ended in a tie in 2002.

McNabb was in the NFL at that time.

Which is still dumb considering the NCAA implemented the overtime format in 1996 (some conferences experimented with it sooner)..... which was McNabb's Sophomore or Junior year. As a 4 year starter at Syracuse you would think that he'd would know...

I still can't believe a game ended in a tie, but then again it was a Bengals game. We always know they can screw anything up.

I blame the Eagles.

Scoring only 13 against the Bengals?......in 5 quarters?

Its an NFL rule he should know.
Because it comes up so often...

According to PFT, Roethlisberger didn't know about the rule either, and they guess half the league didn't know either.
