Just for this game until they know what's up with his knee. Sage can redeem himself with a great comeback...

Looking at that replay, it was "McGahee-ish". He tore something. The knee doesn't bend sideways like that. I will expect him to be out a very long time.

Or Schaub has super ligaments and is fine. Who knows.

I hate Houston QBs. **** drafting one, built everything else, O-Line, D-Line, S, anything else. **** the QB position. God don't want us to have a freakin decent QB.

Ok, I almost gave red rep. Why would you even bring up this loser name? omg. you have got to be kidding me. Jesus....

His knee wasn't planted, therefore a sideways hit like that doesn't necessarily mean he's out. Trust me, if his ligaments had been torn, he would have known it immediately. Schaub isn't known for his high pain threshold

Loser.....the guy had a bad day, everybody has one of those. I still am very comfortable with Sage being able to be our backup and come in and lead our offense if Schaub can't go.........yes even though he completely burned down the stadium last time LOL.

This is actually what I typed in another thread...

If Kubiak wants to have any chance he needs to bring Sage out to start the second half.......nothing against Schaub, but the pocket is collapsing on him and Sage is a little more mobile and Schaub is clearly hurt right now. His passes are floating and he can't step into his throws, it's completely useless to bring him back out right now.

And just like the first drive of the second half Sage does a better job again. Like I said after the Colts game, Sage's problems can be fixed, Schaub's can not.

Its this crap that makes me want to quit this board. Just like other games Sage throws a pic in th red zone. Can't you see they are all the same. Your last staterment makes zero sense. Sage has been in the league years longer and still makes the same turnovers. .

My wish is that they keep Schaub, trade off Sage and draft someone to groom in this system. Then have them compete. Right now we have two QBs that can move the ball but who like to fill it up with turnovers too. This is what you will get with both. Sage is beyond fixing with all his years in the league but Schaub may be able to correct it. Right now both can lose games for you.

That would be like watching "Anaconda 2"......the first viewing sucked so bad, you can't figure out how they could make a second.

Schaub is in for a huge payday if we decide to re-up him.

Do you really think he deserves to be the highest paid Texans in 2009, after watching his first two years here?

I don't know, he hasn't played 2 years here yet. I'll get back to you at the end of the season.

Best Idea imo...time to build teams like the Bears, the QB position is so frustrating :(

Yeah we spent a 2nd rounder on Matt though(two 2nd rounds)...could have been our next best safety with how our new GM has been drafting

That obviously will be the question of the offseason for the Texans ?
I dunno how serious todays injury is ? Does he play next week ? The guy has serious issues about his durability and toughness ?
Of course we're just half way thru the season now, so the remaining 8 games
are probably most important for evaluating Schaub and whether or not he's our guy for the long-term, now that it looks like the playoffs aren't a factor for this season.

Matt gets hurt a lot and sucks on the road.

Sage is a turnover machine.

All in all, they are about equal as QBs.

Watching Brad Johnson and Brooks Bollinger operate makes me glad we have Schaub.

EDIT: Backup QB's indeed.

Schaub is a turnover machine, too. He had a guy right up the middle and acted like he didn't even see him. I mean, seriously: Right. Up. The. Middle.

Neither of these QBs are good enough to be a real starter.

According to the guy on FOX's OT Schaub's knee is in a brace and will have an MRI on it tomorrow.

Which means that Sage will get to come back to the scene of the crime.

And if Schaub is out for an extended amount of time that would also mean that he plays the Colts again.:gun:

I can't believe you guys are trashing Schaub the way you are. I get pissed at him too, but you fellas take it to the extreme. Look, Matt is up and down. That's the way it is. I do believe that if he didn't get hurt that he would have gotten us right back in that game. He needs to be more consistent, but ya'll are talking about drafting another QB in the 1st or 2nd round next year? Ain't gonna happen because there aren't enough quality QBs coming out this season. We'll just have to ride it out with what we have for now.

Yeah, but just think how it would be if we did have a really "good" QB. With all the weapons Schaub has around him, think what at least a healthy QB could do. We need a healthy guy with guts and smarts. Sage has the health and guts, but not the smarts. Schaub sometimes has the smarts, but is rarely healthy and not very gutsy. So, sorry if I'm bashing but I'm tired of watching this QB fiasco.
