FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - Rodney Harrison’s season — and possibly his career — is over after the New England Patriots safety tore a thigh muscle.

The Patriots placed the 35-year-old player on injured reserve Wednesday. The 15-year veteran is in the final year of his contract.

Harrison hurt his right quadriceps on the final play of the third quarter Monday night during a 41-7 victory over Denver.

Well, that's ONE less 'dirty player' in the NFL...though I admit he always played with heart.

I'd take a Rodney Harrison type player on this team.

Rodney Harrison is a punk.

I respect him because he does put it all on the line when he is out there on the field.

But he is a dirty player.

He's a difference maker who uses fear and intimidation to win.

I wish our DC understood this.

Cmon Rodney. Just rub some dirt on it. If that doesn't work just use more HgH.

Agreed, many people hate the guy but he has always been really affective and fun to watch. It's a shame that he'll be remembered more for being a dirty player rather than a great player who was a very big impact into helping his team go to 4 SB's.

If you needed a big play in a big game, you could count on Rodney.

....Unless he was covering David Tyree in the Super Bowl.

Harrison has been one of my favorite players going all the way back to his San Diego days. I would have loved him to be on the Texans.
