Last meeting
In Week 9 of the 2004 season, the Colts defeated the Vikings 31-28 on kicker Mike Vanderjagt's 35-yard field goal with two seconds left.

Streaks
The Colts have beaten the Vikings two straight times and lead the overall series, 13-7-1.

Last week
The Colts were stunned by the Bears in a 29-13 loss on Sunday Night Football. ... The Vikings squandered their chances on Monday night, losing 24-19 against division rival Green Bay.

Keep your eye on ...
Colts QB Peyton Manning: The two-time league MVP didn't participate in any preseason contests and his rust showed in the Kickoff game loss to the Bears. The passing game never got into a rhythm and Peyton & Co. will have a tough test against a pretty good Vikings secondary.

Vikings DE Jared Allen: Last year's sack leader didn't register a tackle in Week 1 and cost the Vikings 12 yards in penalties. This week he'll try to take out his frustration on Manning and prove he's worth the steep price the Vikings paid for him in the offseason.

Vikings QB Tarvaris Jackson: Jackson passed for just 16 yards in the first half Monday night and the Vikings ended up with just a field goal heading into the locker room. The team played catch-up the rest of game and couldn't capitalize on a 103-yard rushing performance by Adrian Peterson.

Did you know?
Colts coach Tony Dungy played QB for the University of Minnesota (1973-76) and was the Vikings' defensive coordinator (1992-95). ... The Vikings aim for their sixth consecutive win vs. the Colts at home. ... The Colts are 10-2 when RB Joseph Addai has more than 20 carries. ... Brad Childress made his NFL coaching debut with the Colts in 1985 as s QB/quality control coach.

The Colts offense has done absolutely nothing in their first two series. On the other hand, Adrian Peterson is a BEAST.

Wait until Peyton lines up against Richard The Lion Heart's defense here in Houston...that'll get him back on track.

Seriously, the guy will suck vs. everyone and then he plays us and he'll return to Pro-Bowl form. I hate the Colts worse than anyone. Worse than the Titans.

Manning is getting knocked around pretty good and Ugoh has left the game with an injury. If the Vikes had a good QB they might be whooping the Colts butt right now.

To everyone that said "even Peyton Mannings couldn't do anything with the offense that Carr was given", I guess you guys were right. :spit:

Yeah, the Colts are so classy that they would leave Manning in (with a 28-point lead) and allow him to continue to humiliate us with a couple minutes left in the game versus us.

None of 'em are classy: Colts, Tits, and Jags. None of 'em.

They need a classy owner like Bob McNair. That'd do it. Then we could all be friends again.

Wow, how do you score that on fantasy...

^^I have no idea what you are talking about. They're only down by 15, it wasn't like it was 35-3 and they had kept their QB in.

Anyways, Peyton with the bomb to Gonzo down to the 20, pitched to Wayne.... TD.

You give Reggie Wayne the 6...because he's my starting WR and I need those points, dang it!

I just don't think Tavaris Jackson is the quarterback of the future for Minn.

I don't think so either. If they had a QB they would have beaten the Colts.

Seriously, if anything this game should make them try to pursue him even more. I mean, if I had a chance to win the superbowl by giving up a 2nd rounder, I would jump on that 10/10 times. Clearly the only thing holding them back is a decent QB, and Sage is more then decent.

Agreed. Why would you have less than 9 in the box vs the Vikings? He is an awful QB, and I found it funny that the commentator didnt understand why they were booing him. Is that his little boy?
