well Jets managed to pullout an interesting win against my beloved Miami Dolphins today. Miami did everything in their power to lose this game at many times, with terrible penalties, bad decisions on both sides of the field by key players, etc. a young team. but they managed to make it fun at the end there and had a chance to win it

Pennington looked pretty good overall

the o-line has a lot of work to do in pass protection

Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown ran the ball well, but that was abandoned fairly quickly

Ted Ginn was basically transparent most of the day

Tony Fasano looks like a great addition

run defense isn't good. looks like last year's team

punting game is dreadful

looks like a fun season ahead :lion:

pennington should be alright in miami....I've always liked him. He doesn't make the big play, because of his lack of arm strength, but he'll keep u in a game.........

Well I was one of the few here that thought Brett was treated horribly by the Packers so I'm glad to see he had success today.

Sure seems really really strange seeing him in that Jets uniforms.

They get my vote for maybe having the ugliest uni's ever...have they EVER updated their look? But that's for another day...another thread....

Saw where Tom hurt his knee??....I just flat out like watching Favre....and if Tom is hurt badly I'm sorry to hear that.

Although I am sick to death of the Pats.

Jake Long had 2 penalties today, both of them nullifying plays where Pennington scrambled for big yardage. odd.

also that ties the amount of penalties he got in his entire collegiate career.

Congrats on the greatest 1 season improvement ever - lost the division by 15 games last year - won the division this year! Of course if the Fins had signed Favre, then Pennington and the Jets would have won the division.

who knows...two different teams, different situations. Mangini is not the coach Sparano is. a lot of the great play this season by Miami has to do with being +15 in turnovers and setting a league record for fewest turnovers in a season, which wasn't all Pennington's doing.

Amazing story. Congrats Dolphins and their fans!

As far as Favre, I think he should just call it quits. He never looked like he was enjoying football the entire month of December. JMO

I heard he wasn't happy and I doubt he'll go back to NY with Mangenius still there.

Just heard that...thanks

Okay...here's my Art bell conspiracy...

Parcells accepts his NSA $9 mil payday and scoots back to the Jets.

He has a clause that will let him walk free..with his $$ when Huzinga (sp) sells the team.

Wayne wants to sell ASAP before the liberals raise the capital gains tax over the 15% its at now.

Its his choice..he can work a deal with the new owner or take his $$ and be a FA.
