im a mixture of excitement and nerves... i think today is a great chance to set down a marker and get a win and make evryone take a little notice. we can beat the steelers if we play clean football

might as well start off early in the thread... anybody got an internet stream of the game before i go searching?

Cool, texanstalk is back up! Just in time for the game!

Keys to the game:

#1. Stop the running game of the Steelers.

#2. Putting pressure on Roethlisberger. Stopping the running game will help this.

#3. The Texans need to average 3-4 yards a carry.

#4. Take the crowd out of the game early.

Sweet! The board is running pretty smooth again thanks to vinny. Hope you didn't stay up late fixing it.

I have a good feeling about today. I know I predicted a loss, but I have a feeling it could be Carolina vs. Texans 07 all over again. You know what I love about cocky fans like those Panthers and Steelers fans? Its that after they get upsetted in a game against an underdog, they totally flipped out on their forum and act like their season is going to go 2-14 or something. Makes for some good reading material.:D

He was part of the inactive's list, as is Okam. Sad, we're losing size up front, which we needed against a tough Steelers running game. That means Weaver is playing most game right? :mcnugget:

Yea, well aware, just can't afford it whilst I'm at college...theres usually watchable streams linked on www.myp2p.eu anyway, theres a host of programs, and whilst they don't have the gamepass quality, are still pretty watchable.

If you don't mind watching the game like 2-3 days late, you can download the full game in high quality at TYT 2.0. Currently their forum is down right now but the owner updated his blog today and said they'll be back soon. It's where I got all my games like year.

Most of the time. Usually works best when we're playing a 'bigger' team (i.e. bigger fanbases, and therefore more people streaming games and wanting streams), but there is more often than not at least one stream, and its fairly watchable. A couple of games a season it may be a bit jumpy, but for me its sure better than paying three weeks worth of food money for a bit better quality football streams on gamepass.

Yea, downloading a couple of programs will cover most of the streams on offer, it works exactally the same with all premiership games, just go onto the same website, and load the game you want to watch, and hopefully it streams alright without too much lag.

It isnt a ban on NFL in the UK, its Sky Sports (the channel who show football in the UK) choosing to show one Texans game per season (which is our prime time game anyway, and constantly show teams such as the Raiders, Patriots and Bears regardless of matchup and significance). If Sky Sports were showing the Texans game as either of their 1 p.m. games, I'd be fine!

Gotta' be honest, if we cover the spread I will be happy. Call me negative or whatever, I think if we can keep the Steeler's within 7 we played well. I think the Steelers will win the AFC North and win 11+ games.

I have to disagree
if you're going to show you have N*tts enough to be a playoff team then you go for it

punting on 4th & inches - at mid-field - would be a punk-@$$ thing to do

now if we get cheated out of what they earned, that's not our coach's or our team's fault

Early recap -

Defense really didn't look as bad as I expected - short field and gave up two pivotal plays...the biggest one to Roethlisberger.

Offense looked dismal w/ the run - Green had Zero fire (thought he was gonna go fetal on his first touch). Passing looked great. Line is looking good in pass protection, hard to tell w/ the run blocking whther it's the line or lousy RB play.

Kubes was doomed to lose the challenge, but it looked like a really lousy spot.
