PITTSBURGH - A sore groin didnít slow Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelersí first-string offense. Good thing, too, because the Steelers now face uncertainty at the backup quarterback position.

Charlie Batch broke his right collarbone midway through the second quarter of the Steelersí 16-10 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles in the first preseason game for both teams Friday night.

Coach Mike Tomlin said the team hopes to sign a veteran to replace Batch, who could be out four to six weeks....

No kidding! With all the sacks he's going to absorb this season, things should be a little tense every time he's slow to get up.

Rook Dennis Dixon didn't look too bad. Has the athleticism to almost be a Randle El Type of player. Does Pitt wait on Batch and hold their breath or do they go out and address the spot with a vet?
