Joey Harrington isn't worth my time anymore.

You guys might get some mistakes out of Carr, but he actaully has NFL talent and can suceed in this league.

Joey Harrington can't even manage to have a good day with Kevin Jones putting up about 600 yards in 5 games.

Joey Harrington can't even pass on 8 in the box.

You guys win.

Are you really surprised? I said from the beginning that Joey Harrington is a future journeyman QB.

No I am not surprised, I just hoped against common sense most of the time.

But even I have my breaking point, 44 yards on 5/22 was it.

Harrington is fundamentally unsound, he can not read a defense, he can not throw an accurate pass even 10 yards. He looks down wr and leads them into big hits, most of his passes are too low or short. Harrington has no mobility, does not set his feet before any throw, is easily rattled under persure.

Carr has a great arm, can make accurate throws is better at reading a defense, at times he will lock on a WR, but not as much as Harrington, Carr has amazing mobility, good fundamentals.

Now if we can just get a good Oline before Carr becomes easily rattled and fundamentally unsound as well.

I second the motion.

Harrington does look like a failed experiment. Whoever they bring in (Brees?), will have Roy Williams, Kevin Jones, and Charles Rogers as weapons, assuming any or all of them stay healthy.

14 of 29, 113 yards, 0 TDs, 2 INTs

Those were Brett Favre's number last week vs Philly. His numbers against the Lions (and that weather) weren't much better. Guess the Packers should throw the bum out. While they're at it, both teams should drop their punters for only managing 25 yd punts into that wind.

Or maybe, just maybe, it's not a good idea to judge a Qb on one game in some of the worst passing conditions seen this year.

I'd like to see what Harrington could do after he's had time to play with his teammates for awhile. How many games has he had with Kevin Jones, Charles Rogers and Roy Williams together so far?

Some other interesting Harrington stats...

QB rating -
59.9 (1st year)
63.9 (2nd year)
77.2 (3rd year)

TDs/INTs -
12/16 (1st year)
15/22 (2nd year)
15/8 (3rd year)

Lion's wins -
3-13 (1st year)
5-11 (2nd year)
5-8 (3rd year)

Hmm....trends?

Harrington is also playing in retarded WCO. God, I hate that offense - the thing has outgrown its usefullness long time ago.

Harrington also only has 3 games over 200 yards this year

Only 5 TD's since week 6

And 5 Ints since week 6

Week 6 is important, because since then Harrington has had the running game or offensive line support.

The past 5 games he has had the best Running game in the NFL.

He is seeing 8 in the box on most of his plays in the 3rd and 4th quarter, he has had his worst preformances in the 3rd and 4th. Streets, Hakim, and Williams have been healthy recently, and even vs bad defense over the past 4 games like GB, INDY, ARZ, MIN. Harrington has only gone over a 80 QB rate 1 time, and has been out ran on the ground for as many yards through the air.

What you can't see on the stat sheet is a majority of Harringtons passes for the last serveral weeks have been wild. His offensive line has held up fantastically since about week 6. He is rushing throws for no reason, he is not reading a defense. He is playing with happy feet when there is no pressure, and constantly folding durring key moments or key drives. He is missing alot of open guys.

Joey harrington is just game of a few interceptions away from his 2004 QB rate taking a nose dive into the 60's

He plays Minnesota next who have consistantly had his number.

Expect 2-3 picks in this next game. then Joey will look just as bad this year as he had last year. But this time he can't just blame the WR's and the Running game.

he has had 3 games with no touchdowns, and no games with multiple touch downs.

The lions offense has been terrible in the redzone getting TD's

The only reason Harrington looks like he has improved over last year is because of a hot 4 games to start the season. But even in those games the Lions had amazing field position off turnovers.

Since then he has done everything he can not to make alot of mistakes, while doing this he has taken no part in attemtping to make a play. Joey has never looked as bad in 2002, or 2003, as he has looked in most of 2004.

And the sad thing about it is 2004 he has the most help he has ever had.

Yep the Eagles sure are suffering with that offense.

As much as David Carr Checks down to Dom, you might as well be running the WCO.

Harrington put a pretty good butt kickin' on the Texans this year. Is he really that bad?
