Aaron Glenn's NFL career keeps on rolling. Next stop, N'awlins (http://www.neworleanssaints.com/Articles/2008/4/Saints%20Sign%20CB%20Aaron%20Glenn.aspx).
New Orleans Saints Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis (http://www.neworleanssaints.com/Team/Staff/People/Mickey%20Loomis.aspx) announced Monday that the club has signed unrestricted free agent cornerback Aaron Glenn (http://www.neworleanssaints.com/Team/Roster/People/Aaron%20Glenn.aspx).
The veteran defensive back is familiar to the Saints’ coaching staff, having played for the Cowboys in 2005 when head coach Sean Payton (http://www.neworleanssaints.com/Team/Coaches/People/Sean%20Payton.aspx) was the assistant head coach and defensive coordinator Gary Gibbs (http://www.neworleanssaints.com/Team/Coaches/People/Gary%20Gibbs.aspx) coached the linebackers. Glenn has played in 201 career regular season games with 175 starts, including five games for Jacksonville in 2007 where he had one interception, which he returned for a touchdown. Why in the &%$@ didn't the Texans sign Glenn? The only thing I can come up with is he still has a grudge against Jon Hoke. Would have been the perfect 4th corner to go with Bennett, Reeves, and a rookie...until Dunta comes back.
