Does anyone or a collection of people, have any (or all) of these "classics"??

Oiler Cannonball - Carl Mauck
I'm Sorry Blue - Debbie Reeves
Super Bowl Itch - Kenny Burroughs
Houston Oilers #1 - Lee Ofman
Big Bad Earl - Tom Cantrell

As for Astros stuff:
Go Go Astros (and Vamos Vamos Astros) - Mack Hayes
Houston's Gone Banastros - Sue Laws
World Series Disco - Sue Laws

I've written John McClain, Chance McClain, and Bob Allen and only Chance has the MP3 version of "Oilers No#1", which you can find on YouTube. The others, I'm running into the perverbial wall trying to find!

Any help would be appreciated! (Mods, not sure if this is the proper place to post this?)

Wish you had it on MP3 but, thanks for the old covers and the 45's (note to the younger readers: yes, we use to spin our records and having 8 track tape were the "cats meow"!)

On this old article is a couple of his songs and history:

Thanks for the help!

Son of a gun I found it! My Houston Oilers #1 album. If any one wants to try and track one down it was produced by Bellaire Records. LOL, it says 'also available on 8 track and cassette.' It was printed 4 times, '76, '78, '79, '80.

Side 1

1. Houston Oilers Number One - Lee Offman & Gridnitz
2. Oiler Cannonball - Carl Mauck & The Oilers (recorded at Gilleys)
3. Houston Oiler March - Cougar Brass Arranged & Conducted by Dr. Bill Moffit.
4. Big Bad Earl - Tom Cantrell with Dink & the Oottes
5. Bum Said It - Isacc Payton Sweat & The Sweat Band (rec. at Gilleys)
6. Mama's Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be cowboys - Jay Cey (Gilleys) (that's how the word "Cowboys" is in the title)
7. Houston Oiler Disco - Donna & The Dolls
8. Houston Oiler Country - Walt Jr. (Gilleys)

Side 2

9. I'm Proud To Be A Houston Oiler Fan - Mike Boyd & 5,000 Oiler Fans (Gilleys)
10. Ballad Of Bum & The Boys - Larry Gostkowski & The Oilers (Gilleys)
11. Bum's Promise - Tom Cantrelle & The Newettes
12. Luv Ya Blue - Walt Jr. (Gilleys)
13. Houston Oiler Polka - Janicek Polka Band http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r65/ShowtimeN15580/Emoticons%20II/thhilarious.gif
14. Hell'o Snake - Welcome To Luv Ya Blue! - John A. Norman III (no typo in the title)
15. I'm Sorry Blue - Debbie Reeves

Bellaire Records
P.O. Box 1200
Bellaire, Tx 77401 (good luck with that)

I found this at Half Priced Books here in Austin believe it or not. I paid a dollar for it. In August of '01 according to my receipt. If you are ever in HPB (there's a few in Houston) or a store that also has used LP's, thats probably where you will find one. I'll have to admit I haven't heard most of what's on here. Anybody have a working turn table??

The album itself looks to be in remarkable shape. No visible scratches at all, however, even though it appears flat, it just has to be warped. Just a guess. http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r65/ShowtimeN15580/Emoticons/thstereo.gif

Wonder if somebody could get this guy a microphone and record it onto his computer?

No offense to any old Oilers fans, but that song is godawful. It's about as bad as the Texans current fight song (the pep band one in the 3rd quarter, not the Clay Walker song)

microphone would sound like ass. easiest thing would be take the turntable, the record and plug the RCA (red/white) plugs into someone's computer and rip it directly as a digital audio file. My laptop has a multimedia input for RCA/svideo/hdmi etc. I could rip that bad boy but it takes the same amount of time it takes to play both album sides.

the easiest way would be to rip the whole thing as one file and then crop it down or you would have to start and stop the record and recording for each and every track. post recording editing is easier than trying to stage 12+ start/stops.

or you could just download them from the link provided from BFD. Thanks BFD.

OMFG Big Bad Earl is the greatest song ever. Don't think I have heard that one since I was 8 years old when it came out.

Infreakingcredible.

I guess Kenny Burroughs has gone through about 1,899,769 bottles of Gold Bond since having the 'Super Bowl Itch'

If I had that vinyl, I'd rip it to MP3. I do not, however.
