The Cleveland Browns said today they had signed linebacker Shantee Orr to a one-year contract.

Orr, 6-1 and 246 pounds, played nine games overall last season with the Houston Texans and the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The five-year NFL veteran entered the NFL as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Michigan in 2003.

Orr was waived by Houston in late November and was signed by Jacksonville two weeks later. He appeared in three games for the Jaguars and made three tackles.

For his career, Orr, 26, has played 51 games. He has 89 career tackles and 10.5 sacks.

His best season statistically came in 2005 with Houston. He played in all 16 games, including 12 starts, and had a career-high 47 tackles and seven sacks.

At Michigan, Orr started 23-of-35 career games as a defensive end. He totaled 79 tackles and 13 sacks.

Like teammate Peek, back home to the 3-4 where he's best suited to play.
How long before Babin leaves Seattle for a 3-4 team ?

IIRC Babin didn't like the 3-4 system and felt alot better playing RDE. He was looking good in preseason before the trade.
