Three year deal...

The Patriots and free agent wide receiver Randy Moss agreed to a three-year, $27 million contract on Monday, reports NFL Network's Adam Schefter.

The two sides are reviewing the contract, which is expected to be signed today.

Moss, 30, was an unrestricted free agent after the Patriots elected not to designate the 10-year veteran as their franchise player.

In his first season with the Patriots in 2007, Moss set the NFL single-season record with 23 touchdown receptions, while catching 98 passes for 1,493 yards.

I wonder if the Golden Boy called in and gave his input to the owners. I can't see taking away his favorite target.

No suprise, I knew he wasn't going anywhere.

I figured he'd get signed by the Pats. It would be crazy for him to give up a team where he set the TD record in his first year with the game's best QB.

I wonder if Pats fans are worried about this... Moss seems to be one of those people that either genetically or otherwise - seems to self-destruct. He may have played the game last year, but is he destined to implode....???

Word on ESPN radio is he talked to Philly and they offered a 4 year deal w/ more money and he decided to take the Pats offer.
