The Texans have offered tenders to restricted free agents strong safety C.C. Brown and defensive tackle Anthony Maddox. Houston also extended tender offers to exclusive rights players wide receiver David Anderson, defensive end Earl Cochran, tight end Joel Dreessen, tackle Brandon Frye and running back Darius Walker, the team announced Friday.

Brandon Frye only signed a one year deal last season? That's unusual for a rookie.

Possibly because he was released and then re-signed to the practice squad.

Hmm...Darius Walker. Doesn't surprise me since it the Texans are supposedly pursuing Michael Turner.

I agree with this, I hope we hold on to Demps, heard he was talking to the Fins.

I want Darius Walker! He should some great flashes last year. I'm not saying he should be the starter, but I want him around as I have a good feeling about that kid. He's got ability.

Oh yeah, Rick Smith if you're reading this, SIGN WILL DEMPS!!!!:texflag:

So we didn't tender Von Hutchins? Or did they tender him last week? I can't believe they're just going to let him walk... he filled in pretty well last year, and though he's not a starting CB, his ability to play safety and CB seems more valuable than ever as thin as we are in the secondary right now.

Hutchins is a UFA. I don't know where they are with Von, but the offers referred to here are for RFA's and exclusive-rights FA's.

Oh, crap I had it wrong on my list. Thanks for that head's up, LOL.

I hope he has the sense to hear the Texans out before signing with Atlanta, if that's what he's thinking of doing.
