To be honest I didn't even know who Tommy Kelly was before this article. We played the Raiders the last couple of years, but I can't seem to recall him. Anyway, the Raiders signed him to a seven year $50 million deal, the largest contract given to a defensive tackle. From undrafted to $50 million, congrats to Tommy Kelly.

It's also been reported that Tommy Kelly and his agent have been arrested for highway robbery.

Anyone going to argue that Al Davis isn't entirely nuts at this point??

Kelly is a good player, but not $50 million good.

i don't want to look at Haynesworth or Rogers' contracts.

First, though, Kelly has to get healthy. He's coming off a torn ACL that limited him to seven games last year.

30 tackles and one sack last year... ka-freakin'-ching..!

IIRC, the Titans have between $35 & $40 Million in cap space. Based on Tommy Kelly's deal, it's as good as used up.

(Yes, I know it's a 7 year deal, but Haynesworth is about 6 times as good as Tommy Kelly).

Can Al Davis just die already? Or retire? Or go in a coma? Something to get him out of Oakland!
