The last time the Cowboys won a playoff game in Jan. 1996?
I was in Junior High. Oh the days.

I was in 8th grade putting up with my brothers abuse for liking the Oilers. Two years in a row they blew leads and they still can't respond back to me. I'm having a blast, because the Chokers lost and so did the Colts. :texflag: :texflag: :texflag: :texflag: :texflag:

Grieving over the loss of my beloved Oilers. Truthfully, I could have cared less who won what that year. Can't remember a thing about the playoffs.

I was in Deadhorse, Alaska working on a seismic field crew, north of the Artic Circle. First female on the crew. Talk about cold weather.

I was living in Dallas, working dead end jobs and in just a couple of months would enlist in the U.S. Air Force. Best move I ever made right there.

Hmm, I was 25 years old and busting my arse to get me to the point I am today. My wife and I were 18 & 19 years old when my daughter was born. It was a rough time going through school, working and taking care of a baby.
I wouldn't change anything. My kids are awesome! :)

Ever run across "Soms" from VMFA-251 T-bolts? He spent most of his time in Beaufort but I know he went through Yuma a bunch during that timeframe.

If I'm recalling everything right shouldn't we be talking about Dec96 or Jan97 ('96 season?) .... I recall it being around Christmas '96 - New Years '97 because I was in a deep funk due the Oilers just playing their last season ever in Houston and a buddy of mine who lives in Minneapolis got tickets to the playoff game in Dallas and asked me to meet him up there. .. anyway I digress.... I pulled for the Vikes but unfortunately Dallas crushed them. That's 11 years ago already? jeezus... I had a kid in about the 2nd or 3rd grade who's now a freshman in college.....that's how long it's been.
I just checked and it was the '96 season so it was Dec '96 or Jan '97 can't remember the exact date....

Nope, but strangely that was the name of my squadron when I first got there, later changed to Headquarters & Headquarters Squadron. Yuma is a big training base, so there was tons of people coming and going all the time.
