View Full Version : Hire Stoops!!!!!!
let's face it, capers isn't a winner and never will be. i know, all you people are going to say, we have to stick with him, give him a few years. but its more than. capers doesn't have the fire to be a winner. just look at him on the sidelines. we need a coach thats going to bring fire to this team. all i'm saying is hire a winner, i don't want to waste 2 or 3 more years while Stoops enters the nfl with another team. then who do we get? another unemployed nfl coach. another loser coach. let's face it. if stoops were to enter the nfl, why not with a team close to home loaded with players that are his type of players. we really have to consider this. if we go less than 7-9, capers has to go.
Great Idea!!! Maybe Stoops can do for the Texans what Spurrier did for Redskins... oh wait....never mind.
Great College Coach = Great RECRUITER + good coach. It rarely transcends to the NFL.

Hire Parcells, LOL....We need a coach that can get madddddd..... :heh: :heh: :heh:
Stoops has already said that he's very happy at OU. They give him millions, he's got the program rolling.
There's really no reason for him to leave.
the fact remains that virtually every nfl coach coached somewhere at sometime in college. maybe not a head coach, but to say that college coaches don't make great nfl coaches is not logical. nfl coaches just don't quit their parttime job and become nfl coaches. they usually play football in college, then maybe coach high school, move up to college, go somewhere in the nfl as some kind of assistant coach, then nfl coach. think about it
we need a coach thats going to bring fire to this team. all i'm saying is hire a winner, i don't want to waste 2 or 3 more years while Stoops enters the nfl with another team.Same stuff a lot of people were saying about Butch Davis a few years ago.
Rich Kotite and Bruce Coslet used to jump around a lot. Maybe we should give them a shot. I know -- how about Jerry Glanville? He's animated.

let's face it, capers isn't a winner and never will be...Hmmm ... lets see ... Head Coach of the Year. In his second year in Carolina, he makes the playoffs and crushes the Cowboys (Aikman, Irvin and Smith Cowboys), before losing in Lambeau in a game to go to Superbowl (How often did Aikman, Irvin and Smith win in Lambeau?)
Assistant Coach of the Year. I guess they just like to give these awards to guys like Capers who "Isn't a winner."
Remember, Capers has the same Superbowl record as Parcells. Neither has won a Superbowl without Billick as an assistant and Lawrence Taylor (arguably the best player in the history of the NFL) as a player.
