Doubt it but Sage can destroy them after a quarter.

Big 3rd and long coming up...really need to convert on this one.

GP
12-02-2007, 02:02 PM
Why didn't they give us the free play?

Exactly. Schaub is out of the game, therefore our QB is able to get rid of the ball before getting sacked.

They were thinking that Humpty Dumpty was back there at QB. There's not enough men to put him back together again. So they made a mistake. They were just trying to protect the Gingerbread Man.

I'm just so curious as to why we don't see Sage rolling around on the ground in agony, after a sack, with all the duty that Sage has had to report for over the past 3 years or so. The guy is extremely durable.

Sorry guys. I am completely OFF the Matt Schaub wagon. O-f-f.

You ever see that watch commercial he's in?

It compares Eli Manning and the watch as both being "unstoppable". Rofl!

Also... this has been getting to me for a while...

We averaged 9 yards a carry almost... 2nd and 3. Schaub "throws" and gets semi-hurt. Gary Kubiak doesn't seem to care and he throws again. Schaub gets knocked out of the game.

The 2nd and three and 3rd and 3 without a run (which I don't think I need to remind you we're averaging 9 yards a carry...) sound an awful lot like the Bills game of last year.

The Titans really don't have a DB that can deal with Andre Johnson. If your o-line can ever give Sage any time to throw, this game could be over soon. Young's mentally and physically messed up right now so the Titans wouldn't be able to match points.

I didn't say that Dayne was the "best" back that we've ever had. With that said, has Ron Dayne ever been injured? That fumble that he had in the first quarter today was his first 200 and some odd games. He is always good for 3-5 yards, and has the potential to bust a long one.

On the whole, I would say that Davis/Williams was a better RB and I would love to have him back. However, I would say that we have been able to count on Dayne more than we could Davis/Williams.

what did Sage have to say?

Malloy

My comment was in reference to the following statement:
"He is the most reliable back that this team has ever had."

Completely not true. He might be the second best - but a healthy DD/W would run circles around Dayne.

You're right, sorry :)

Its not going to be a popular statement here but these are two bad teams! The difference is TN has a great Defense.

The NFL is extremely mediocre this season. I believe there is only 12 teams with winning records and 9 with records of 5-6. Almost all of those teams are still in the wild card hunt.

But the problem with DD/W, was that we didn't see him healthy enough to be considered reliable.

And Dayne hasn't played enough games to say he's more reliable. It's easy not to fumble/get hurt when your riding the pine.
In his 92 game 7 year career, Dayne has 977 touches; link (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/stats?playerId=2142). DD, in 3 years 40 games, has 924 touches; link (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/stats?playerId=4559).

Don't get me wrong - I'm glad we have Dayne this year but lets not over hype a below average back.
