The Colts have been busted, their piped in crowd noise cd pulled a nilli vanilli on them

http://www.nfl.com/videos?videoId=09000d5d803e4990

[2:26]......hear it for yourself.

The noise is obviously skipping so they hurry up and turn it off and the place is absolutely SILENT!

Here's just the audio... http://www.profootballtalk.com/Moss_Catch_Audio.mp3

That is hilarious. Damn cheaters. Well if pumping in crowd noise and filming your opponents gets you undefeated and 1 loss I say we start doing both immediately. :whip:

Jokes aside I don't see any difference between what the Pats did and what the Colts are doing. They should be punished the same.....cheating is cheating.

I was wondering what that was .....

I think you would really need to be at the game though. If that was noise made during "Make Noise" call, I could see them putting some crowed music in.

Wow, it's not too often to lose and be embarassed if you're a Colts fan. That's really bad.

IIRC,

The Colts got away with a slap on the hand when this happened last season.

I think they apologized and said it would not happen again. And I think the NFL said they would come down very hard on the Colts if they did it again.

Wow. How could you be so foolish as to do it again...in the biggest regular season game thus far?

The Colts aren't the only team to do this. The Rams accused the Titans of piping in fan noise several years ago. The Rams knew piped in noise when they heard it, because they likely did same thing in their stadium.

to me, honestly, sometimes at reliant the crowd noise seems artificial... JMO

this is one of those things that every team probably does.

I've been watching this on the official Colts forum. It seems every 5 minutes someone starts a thread about the CD skipping on the fake crowd noise however the threads keep getting deleted. Too funny.

This is not entirely connected to the thread, but the refs looked like they were pulling for Indy. Some of those calls were bull.

well, the patriots are making the nfl look bad.

The refs made some horrible calls against NE, but that sound thing is too much.

Pretty hard to believe, can you imagine the guy cueing the CD trying to get it turned off....he probably loaded his looms.....how embarassing.

I think I've heard pumped in crowd noise at Reliant as well. Not often, but I do think I've heard it before. Obviously it's hard to tell though unless you make a dumb mistake like the Colts did.

wait, i thought the NFL loved the Patriots. i'm confused as to who the conspiracies favor these days.

I actually thought it sounded like the refs microphone was left open. I hear that same noise sometimes when they are annoucing a penalty and such...

With that said though, I like the cheating story better....

maybe the guy controlling the button doesn't know when to press it and when not to, which would be the explanation for the folks making noise when we have the ball.

If they do pump noise in, it is for the chants.

I doubt that Reliant would need artificial noise if it were the undefeated Texans versus the undefeated Patriots. You wouldn't even be able to hear the person next you.

We had that scenario in week 3. Well not Patriots but undefeated Colts.

So why was the stadium all of a sudden silent?

kastofsna
11-05-2007, 04:53 PM
because Moss caught a 14 yard pass, quieting the crowd.

McKinney on 1560 just said that the Colts pump in noise for sure. Last 10 years.
