View Full Version : Me and Haynesworths shouting match.

I hate Haynesworth.

So, for the first time, I got to sit front row at a game and I was right behing Albert Haynesworth.

As a fan, I have the right to talk smack and have fun. Well, Mr. Haynesworth decided that he wanted to **** with me. SO throughout the game me and Haynesworth exchanged alot of language.

After the cheapshot on Schaub, I was irate. All Haynesworth did after my comments about his hit on schaub is look at me and smile with a stupid chuckle. He seemed so proud of himself.

After the game, we got in a heated shouting match and he came right up to me...within 2 feet. I was SOOOOOOOOO close to spitting in his face. Thank god I had the logic to know that it would possibly end my days at Reliant. But boy, I wish I could have.

I've never hated a NFL player SO BAD.

What a loser....we need less players like him in the league. I hope we never see a player like that on the Texans. Mcnair's done a great job of that so far.

If you really were able to entice him to respond, I wouldn't have given up and I would have kept it going until he punched me. It would have possibly led to him getting booted from the league as well as benefit me financially. Sounds like a win/win there.

You're probably right. I can easily see him and some other thugs out (probably hanging out with pacman), starting some sh*t and getting in a fight/stabbed/ or shot. I don't want to sound harsh, and even to a scum like him, I would never wish that upon somone-....but some people have it coming.

What, exactly, was wrong with the hit? I just don't see it myself. If it wasn't for the pansy QB rules and AH's rep from last year, nothing would have been called.

The helmet to helmet was actually more facemask to facemask if that, and all I see is a dude crunching a player hard, being tackle football and all. If he did that hit on a player from any other position, we wouldn't think twice about it.

It's not like he taunted a potential dead player on the ground or anything.

But then again, my pretty face would of been ruined. My poor girlfriend was so scared something was gonna happen. I've never been in a shouting match like that...much less with a multi hundred pound, ***** thug.

LOL good thing you didn't spit in his face. We'd have to have the first TexansTalk funeral webcast.

I had a similar experience in the Astrodome with old Steeler foe Greg Lloyd. I was just a dumb kid, but I almost got myself banned from the stadium. Heh.

My seat was on the railing that overlooked the tunnel where the opposing teams went in and out... well, the Oilers put a beatdown on the Steelers that day - and as the Steelers left the field Greg Lloyd was of course upset, and he flung his nasty, disgusting mouthpiece into the crowd and it hit me right in the chest. I didn't even hesitate - I picked it up and FIRED it as hard as I could back in his general direction... well, to my surprise it hit him right on the top of his head (he had his helmet off). He looked up at me like he was going to put his fist through my skull.

Anyway, long story short - one of the ushers saw me and gave me a long lecture... he said if the game hadn't already been over, he would have thrown me out and that if anything like that happened again, I'd be banned. He was probably just trying to scare me, being that I was like 15 years old, but still - it gave me a memorable story. Anyway - I'm glad you're still alive, Rockabilly.

Two things Rockabilly:

1. In the course of my life I've learned that most assholes USUALLY aren't worth the trouble they can get you into. Sure spitting in his face would have felt great but you couldn't attend another Texans game, you might have been hit with assault charges and for what? Because some future heart attack victim got in your face?

2. This isn't a comment on YOU or your ability to defend yourself, but there's a good chance that thug could have easily cleaned your clock. Think about it. This guy ripped off the helmet of a guy lying on the ground and dug his spikes into the man's FACE! He has no sense of decency or restraint and can't be seen as a reasonable human being.

You are very young and very dumb. Just because you pay for a ticket doesn't give you the right to abuse the players on the field. You are tough acting when you have a physical barrier to protect you from a man that could kill you with one punch. I'm just wondering if you were to see Haynesworth in the mall or at a gas station would you be so big and bad? Grow up and stop drinking so much beer. To many beers give you false courage.

Bill the hit on Schaub was not as bad as the comments after the game. Do you really think haynesworth could hear you? lol. The people in the bullpen heard you and probably laughed a little, but i doubt he could hear you. Oh I must have to give it to the Bullpen fans, they never left.

I honestly never got player heckling myself, especially to a player like AH. You seriously think mentioning the stomping incident to him is going to shake him? It probably just makes him madder. He's clearly used it as a wake up call in his career, if anything it's probably a source of inspiration for him.

In a way, you may have been responsible for the aggression shown on Schaub :P

Abuse? As long as you are not using vulgar language you are allowd to heckle the oppossing team. How is that abuse? Since you do not know Billy how can you call him young and dumb? Maybe you should are the one being dumb right now for assuming that because a fan hekles the other team he is dumb?

As far as seeing him in public, yeah what is AH going to do hit me, great that would be a Class "C" felony assualt and his but would goto prison and he would be out of the league.

You also ASSumed Billy was drunk, now everytime I have met Billy he has had a few beers, but I have never seen him drunk and I will safely bet that with his GF there he was not drunk and using improper language.

I never said I was bating him to cause conflict so he can hit me (i'm not stupid). I was doing no more than what regular fans do - Haynesworth is the one that took it to another level by laughing at the fact he took out Matt Schaub and getting in my face about it.

My heckling to Haynesworth was no more than "cause your team another penalty", "that was a cheap shot on the QB", and after he laughed at me after the Schaub comment and made the "cleaning his hands of the blood" gesture with his hands, I said "When is your next suspension". That is when we started getting into it.

Those that know me that have met me in person on this board know what type of guy I am - and that I just have fun watching the game.

HAYNESWORTH is the one that came up to the rail and talked his smack. I just returned the words in retaliation. I may be small, and he may have kicked my ass, but I never let anyone disrespect me - and especially talk like that to me in front of my girl.

I'm no fan of Haynesworth because I am a Cowboys fan and he used Gurode as a rug last year but the guy has great football skills....

He really should ignore the fans in the stands as 99% of the players do.

I am not sure if I read this right but I THINK he said in the Chronicle that he said he was glad they knocked Matt out...maybe I was asleep when I was reading it but can anybody remember reading that???

He's got anger issues that obviously he doesn't have a complete handle on to be jaw jacking with fans.

hey I would say spitting on someone is a form of abuse. I'm just glad he didn't do it. I think the anger and paybacks should come from the guys on the field not the drunk fans in the stands. I played a lot of football in my days and I really don't recall hearing anything the fans said...only what the opposition said. Remember this rambo..we go to the games to enjoy and watch pro athletes perform and not to try to get into a pissing contest with guys that you would never confront if you were not up in the stands with a highwall that he can't get over. Haynesworth wouldn't go to prison for smacking you around. Look at his record. He would be suspended though. Also, Haynesworth isn't difficult to entice. If you want him to hit you, he will. So all there is to it, is to do it. Go ahead, take that punch.

I hate heckling fans. Taking a shot every once in a while is fine, but it can go too far. I loved the Detroit-Indiana fiasco in the NBA from a couple years ago. Those fans found out what happens when you push a professional athlete too far. I'm guessing the same would happen to you, or the originator of this thread, who in the end, made a wise decision.
